Friday’s Feast #4

Appetizer
Describe a toy you remember from your childhood.
My first Barbie doll ever. It was given to me by my parents when I turned 7. I took care of it like it’s my baby until one day I saw my younger sister shampooing my Barbie doll’s hair :(

Soup
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how observant are you?
I’d say a 7. I am observant. I got this from my mom. But most of the time, the things I get from observing people around me are the little things. Things that on a bigger scale don’t matter. Hehehe

Salad
Where would you rather be at this very moment?
In my friend Tim’s house, discussing books, drinking coffee, just lazing around and enjoying the afternoon sun.

Main Course
When was the last time you learned something new?
2 months ago, I learned how to use MYOB, an accounting system used in the office.

Dessert
Fill in the blank: I have ____________ but I haven’t ____________.
I have a lump but I haven’t gotten around to having it checked yet.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a safe weekend :)

The lump must be bothering you or you wouldn’t have mentioned it for your dessert. Get it checked right away.

I hope the bump is nothing serious. Will keep you in my prayers.

I’ve enjoyed your feast very much, especially the salad. Your sister shampooed Barbie… Oh dear… what happened to Barbie after that?…

I conclude that your Barbie became bald after this treatment !

Where’s the lump? Most lumps aren’t serious. Get it checked today. I can’t concentrate on your feast now!!!

I was always told that if the ‘lump’ causes pain, it’s harmless [as apposed to cancer that lays silent without pain]
Ya, I agree with everyone else, have it checked!!

Your salad sounds wonderful. I’m partial to coffee in the afternoons. Don’t know why.

I tried learning an accounting program once. Didn’t go so well. I was better at manual accounting on paper. And I agree, go get the bump checked out. You can never be too careful!

    Happy Friday : )

I have a small lump in my mouth (noticed nearly two years ago) and when I went to see an oral pathologist (specialist) earlier this year, he told me it was just a rare but benign developmental abnormality that would have no serious consequences. The bill was $135 for a three word diagnosis for something that wasn’t serious anyway (I wasn’t ever worried about it, but my dentist was), but it’s well worth it for peace of mind. You are in my prayers and I hope everything goes well!
Thanks for dropping by my feast and sharing yours – I hope you have a great weekend :) Hope you get around to achieving that salad! ;)

Excuse me. I hope you are reading this after you just hung up the phone with your local lump-ologist. What are you doing reading your comments when there are more important things to be done!? I had/have a lump in my right breast, freaked out, called the dr, got a mammagram & ultrasound of it and it’s nothing to be worried about. But you have to check first to get peace of mind or begin some kind of treatment.
Go!!! What are you waiting for? What would you tell your best dearest friend or sister if she told you that she had a lump but has no idea what it is???
    GO ALREADY!!!
Then come back and let us know what they say, we care too :)

I like your Salad…sounds totally relaxing! And I understand your Appetizer…brothers and sisters can really do naughty things!
Your “dessert” needs to be delivered straight away to the doctor! No waiting!

Thank you for visiting my feast today too!

  25. Lynne | Jul 28, 2007 | Reply

Make the call to your Dr.! Chances are on your side that it is nothing, but having it checked will give you peace of mind. If it does turn out to be something, it is best to catch it early. Stop procrastinating.

Loved your salad — it’s a lovely description of the lazy afternoon. And, just like everyone else who has posted, I recommend you get that lump checked. I had one on my left breast that turned out to be nothing, completely benign. But it was soooo worth the investment in time to get it checked so I could stop worrying about it.

  27. JHS | Jul 28, 2007 | Reply

You should go to the dr. without delay!

Thanks for stopping by . . . now go make an appointment!
