Thursday 13 #3: 13 Things to make the hurt go away

Thirteen Things to make the hurt go away1. A smile! Somehow, even when I am angry with somebody, when I see him/her smile at me, the ice around my heart melts. I can be too forgiving at times hehe2. A funny memory. Or even a really great memory I have of that person.

3. If he/she did something good to my family. Like help my dad with something. Even exerted an effort to talk to my sisters. Kinda takes away the sting somehow.

4. A sentimental song while he/she is talking to me. But there’s a possibility that after the song ends, I might go back to being angry hahaha… or just plain listening to good, calming music.

5. Chocolates.

6. Flowers. Please not roses!

7. A good night’s sleep. And pray I don’t get up on the wrong side of the bed hehehe

8. A good meal. Most of the time, when I meet up with friends, I always get to be the first one to arrive. And the last time this happened, I really got angry with them. But after eating dinner with them, my anger evaporated.

9. A good conversation. Talking to close friends help a lot. The bashing? Believe me, it really feels good after bashing someone with friends. I do this with my bestfriends Tim and Lem.

10. Going to the church and praying about it.

11. Crying it all out.

12. Blogging about it. And then it somehow drains you and numbs you.

13. Confiding everything to my mom when she was still alive. This is the ultimate balm to all the hurts I was feeling before. When I was mad at my boss, my mom’s there to take away the hurt. When I chose the wrong person to love, she was there to knock some sense into my thick head.

    These are some pretty good ones. Usually one good sincere ‘I’m sorry’ will do the trick if I’m mad at someone for something, but sometimes I’m a harder shell to crack. Blogging about it can help…. but it can also just get me all riled up again.

    sounds like Oceans 13 to me, hehe. how about a nice soup? oh yeah, i suppose its included in the “food” thing. Looking at the beautiful landscape or perhaps garden might also help.
