Behind the decision: A meme
I was tagged by iRonnie to reveal my decision(s) behind monetizing my blog(s).
Well, I am not hiding my reasons behind monetizing my blogs. I will not be a hypocrite. So here it goes… I love earning dollars! Who doesn’t? Can you just imagine how much it is in peso when you write a $10 post? For 50-200 words, in a matter of minutes, you earn approximately 400 pesos. In a matter of minutes, I earn more than what an average worker here in the country earns in a day. Will you say no to that?
The truth is, I was not planning on monetizing any of my blogs. I didn’t even know about PayPerPost et al until May of this year. When everyone is into monetizing as early as 2006, I was
just contented writing blog posts and learning how to earn money from Google Adsense. But there are things I wanted to buy for myself that I just couldn’t get from my salary at work. You see, I am a breadwinner. I am taking care of almost 75% of our household bills and providing for my family is my number one priority. So when a friend taught me how to monetize my blogs, I eagerly started doing so. And when I did, I was able to buy something for myself. I was able to start saving some money. Great di ba?
Anyway, to make it simple, I started monetizing my blogs to earn some extra income. And since I am earning a bit more now, I made a goal. A car by December 
To ate Ghee and others who are thinking about this Google slap, no, Google’s PageRank drop is not altogether dependent on sponsored posts. There are non-monetizing blogs whose PR dropped by -2. While there are monetizing blogs whose PR increased. So, all we know is that Google is out on a PR trip and we are all vulnerable.
So to those who are raising their eyebrows when they see a blog with sponsored posts, just keep it to yourself, whatever bad things you are thinking and wanted to say. You cannot give us the dollars we are earning by criticizing us. And when you don’t want a blog with sponsored posts, then just close the browser and that’s that.

LOL!of course not,no one can give you dollars,may utang pa nga ako sa yo?haha!
so,whats wrong with google kaya?pero posting ads daw ay isang major reason,imagine my akoni,from rank 4,naging rank 3 bigla nung mag post ako ng sangkaterbang ads,samantalang stable sa rank 4 yun.
then,try to check some other blogs na di active,mataas at ganon pa rin ang ranking.
yung ibang monetizing,they keep their traffic pa rin daw whatsoever,and ive read that goodle penalize blogs who overuse their links,more outcomings than incomings affect your PR din daw. i dunno,i dont care about PR na nga! hehe

Sasha!!! Thanks for sharing your decision behind doing SPs. I salute you! I understand your situation of being the bread earner. Like I thought I’d be free from being that after getting married pero hindi rin pala. Kasi iba tayong Pilipino magmahal ng pamilya natin eh.
And for that car, I know you will get it…na-excite tuloy ako para sa iyo! ha ha ha!
Anyway, yes please, do add the the participants’ links kasi this is also about ‘give and take’ amongst us probloggers, minamaliit na nga tayo minsan na ‘mukhang pera blah blah’ tapos hindi pa ba natin papatunayan na may pagkakaisa tayo? ..I’m a bit disappointed with others who removed the links, kasi excited talaga ako dumalaw sa lahat ng bloggers turned publishers. I have so many friends who have monetized blog and I think there’s nothing’s wrong with that. actually it’s a form of resourcefulness. alam mo ba sashing na kahit ako dati natutukso na mag monetize ng blog pero di ako pwede, not that paypal would or adsense would not allow me. actually meron akong account noon pa. Jaypee of JaypeeOnline advised me to build traffic muna sa blog ko bago ako mag monetized. but at the middle of april, I had this realization na sa theme ng blog ko na religious, medyo asiwa pag imomonetize ko pa, isa pa yung site ko ay free hosting lang kaya medyo dyahe sa may ari haha. Pero okay naman mag monetize ng blog. astig nga eh kasi you are doing what you love and at the same time you are earning.
oist alam mo ba na ako ang salarin kaya di natuloy si Dom sa plano nya haha. tanong mo nalang kay Dom kung bakit at ako may kasalanan. LOL
Anyhow, i miss you na. I know you are busy. me too.ngayon lang ako nakadalaw uli sa mga blogs. I sent you an email and I’m still waiting a response from you. but it’s not asap naman kapatid. namimis ko lang daldalan natin sa email remember? haha

I agree with what you said here. Let’s face, $ in Pinas, despite the dwindling currency exchange, still sums up to a lot…So why not?
