Wordless Wednesday – Halo-halo

Not so wordless afterall…
It is terribly hot these days. Taking a bath became 3 times a day now. We don’t use the aircon during daytime. We use three electric fans instead. But summer is a season that I love the most. Vacation time, going to the beach, out-of-town trips… there are just so many things to do! And the one of the best things this season… halo-halo!
Halo-halo (from Tagalog halo, “mix”) is a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served cold in a tall glass or bowl. My favorite fruit included is banana. And lots and lots of milk and vanilla ice cream on top

I DO want one – spectacular!! And tagalog (sp?) – love it. I started learning this several years ago. I don’t remember anything so seeing halo makes me happy. Oh, okaylong (sp?) is one that’s coming to mind ?? Love your world here, Sasha. Happy WW

Such vivid colors… Looks yummy good. I’ll take mine with vanilla or peach ice cream, though the purple surely gives it drama.
