I know a lot of women who are still suffering from the much dreaded facial problem known as acne. Acne makes you look like you’ve dropped on a lump of powder blush. Most of the women I know who’s still suffering from this problem has already developed an inferiority complex. They are ashamed to show their faces in public because of their condition. There is a natural acne treatment from Acnexus.com that they can try. This might help them in their problems. You try it out as well if you also have acne. Who knows, this may be the treatment you are looking for.

David Cook rocks!

Did you watch American Idol last night? OMG! I just love David Cook! Now that Michael Johns is out of the competition, I am channeling all my positive energy to David. I just loved his rendition of Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby. He totally nailed it! Loved his version!

I also liked Jason Castro’s I Don’t Wanna Cry version. It’s like being at a cafe and just chillin’ out.

The guys rocked last night. The girls… well, I am not really crazy with their Mariah Carey versions.

Alexa ranking

Alexa ranking has been acting up for a few days now. It has been erratic in its ranking that most of my blogs have swinging ranks. I know that the rank changes daily. But the swing is really in big numbers. This blog for instance. I have been in the 120K for quite some time now. And then all of a sudden, despite the traffic, my Alexa rank dipped. I went to the 130K ranking. When I opened my blog today, it was already in the 230K ranks! That’s a 100K dip. Wow.

I also checked my other blog, My Own Utopia and the Alexa rank dipped by 300K! Ridiculous!

Have you experienced a big dip yourself?

What kind of values does Big Brother imparts to teens?

I have been watching Pinoy Big Brother, the local version of the popular reality tv franchise. I am just concerned over what the show imparts to the number of teens watching it thrice a day. My brother who is a 16-year-old teener watches it daily. He watches the noon time video streaming, the 5pm update Uber as well as the primetime show at 9pm. What alarms me is that the show has a verbally abusive father who shouts and curses at his son, Kevin, another housemate Josef and Josef’s aunt Anna. I have ranted about it here…

Have you seen the primetime show today? My goodness, if that is not a verbal abuse, I don’t know what is!

Another thing that alarmed me is the way another teen housemate, Ejay, cried just because he broke a glass. I believe it is totally bull to make a kid afraid because he broke a glass. The teener cried for crying out loud! It was just a glass. Yes, he needed to be reminded to be careful. But the poor guy thought he’s be punished because of the broken glass. I am not a psychologist but I do know there is an impact in the teen’s psychological well-being if he or she is being threatened with punishment just because he broke a glass or a plate or a vase. You can just feel Ejay’s concern over what he did.

Accidents happen. Next time, be careful.

Those should be the words uttered to the boy.

Umiinit talaga ang ulo ko sa Pinoy Big Brother na yan! Consider the following:

  • The teens interact with each other like they are truly fond of one another. And then come nomination time, they’d release pent up sentiments over their housemates. After nomination, they’d hug each other like there’s nothing wrong.

Shouldn’t the correct way to address this kind of situation is to talk it over with the person you are having these sentiments over?

  • It is good that you are part of a “love team” so that you will instantly get legions of fans just like previous PBB seasons.

I believe the main goal of the show is to showcase the Filipino trait, camaraderie, true emotions… and not to encourage nonstop flirting and showing of too much PDA on tv!

I sure do hope teens get something positive out of a show like this. And parents/guardians, please guide your kids when watching tv. You don’t know, a simple straight forward tv show can turn out to be a fountain of negative values for your kids.

Arranging your bookmarks toolbar

Starting today, whenever I come across something that I think will benefit me and another person or two, you will see this button and you’d know right away that I will be dishing out Tips and Tricks.

I love using the “Bookmark This Page” function of my browser. I use two browsers right now. Firefox and Opera. This Tips and Tricks post will be about using the Bookmark function in a Firefox browser.

Whenever I come across a web site or a blog that I like, I bookmark it. Sometimes five or so sites a day that I have a very long list of bookmarked sites. Honestly, I sometimes get confused why I bookmarked that particular site. Thanks to a blogging resource web site that I’ve come across today, I learned how to organize my bookmarked sites.

bookmarkstoolbar.jpg

Click on the screenshot that I took to show you what I did to my Bookmarks Toolbar. I organized the sites that I bookmarked into folders. Yes, you can use folders in your bookmarks toolbar. Label your folders accordingly. I had mine as Fave (For sites that I love and would like to read daily), Check! (For sites that I need to check once more), WP (For anything wordpress related), Memes, Entrecard (Posts related to Entrecard as I am still thinking of whether to join or not) and Problogging (For anything related to making money online). Labeling your folder will make sure you don’t forget why you bookmarked a particular site.

Makes sense?

I hope I was able to teach you a thing or two about your Bookmarks Toolbar today.

Happy blogging!

Blog: Is it good or bad?

There has been an ongoing controversy with regards to blogs being used to dish out ‘libelous’ information. I believe this has been an ongoing issue for quite some time now, ever since blogging has been in the spotlight due to its gaining media power. But the Australian Brian Gorrell’s blog about his Filipino ex-boyfriend whom he is accusing of swindling him some $70,000 and being backed up by his high society “Gucci Gang’ friends has put blogging at an even more glaring spot.

Brian Gorrell is spewing mud all over kingdom come with his revelations on certain well-known personalities here in the country. Loathe as I was to admit it, he lends credibility to his revelations through the photos that accompany his blog entries. And he has been very consistent with his entries. Well, personally, as I have read it, that is. I watched Delfin (DJ) Justiniano Ocampo Montano II in Korina Today with his family and godfather when they were interviewed about the controversy. DJ Montano was inconsistent in his answers. There were just certain questions that I believe nailed it for me.

  • Why would an HIV-positive man, who sold his property in Australia to be with you in the Philippines and who requires expensive medication in order to survive, squander all that money just to live like a king, as you and your stepfather put it? If he did, did it ever occur to you to stop him, knock some sense into him?
  • You claim that Brian is just using his blog to extort money from you. Normally, an extortion act goes like this: the extortionist calls up the, uh, extortionee and demands that if the extortionee doesn’t pay up, he will expose the skeletons in your closet. In his blog, Brian has exposed so much dirt about you that it would make a fertilizer factory extremely happy. Why would he risk his chances of not getting that money from you, if indeed it was extortion?
  • And if indeed it was extortion, why threaten to sue him with libel and defamation, and not extortion or some such related crime?

These are just some of the questions that made me think that Brian Gorrell might indeed be telling the truth. You can read Brian’s blog yourself. Just go to this link and see for yourself if he indeed is telling the truth.

Anyway, back to the main issue here. Is blogging good or bad? Why is there a campaign that says people beware of the blog?

bewareoftheblog

Personally, I believe that a blog is a great medium to express oneself. Yes, it can be abused just like any other form of media. But it can be really powerful if it’s put to good use. We should not generalize all blogs out there. Not all blogs are engaged in mudslinging. And bloggers and their family and friends know that. Yes, there are blogs that we should stir clear from. I can name a few (but I won’t). All in all, only a few blogs can be put in the category like Brian Gorrell’s. Most are good and informative.

What do you think on this issue?

Web design

Do you know that web design plays an important role in the success of your web site? You cannot have a messy design and expect people to visit and come back. A web site needs to look great first and foremost. Because, admit it, when you visit a web site, the first thing you will notice is the design. Personally, if I find a web site messy and a strain to my eyes, I immediately close the browser or the tab and will go to a similar web site. Of course, you do not want that to happen, right. You want to drive traffic in to your web site. Not away from it.

With Stylish Design, a web design blog, you will learn about web designing and other stuff related to web design. You will learn what is the right design for your web site and not just that, the web site also dishes out information on search engine optimization, web directories, different tools/softwares, CSS, website templates and so on.

When you visit Stylish Design, you will immediately notice that the site is well organized. The featured topic is well situated after the header. A dating expert

Just like in any other situation, there are people who have the instinct on what to do, how to go about things while there are others who flounder and fail. In dating and relationships, there are women who know what to do while there are others who don’t. And the latter are many in numbers. I should know because I have a lot of girl friends who belong to the latter category.

I, therefore, conclude that we ladies need a dating expert to help us out on dating and relationships.

Stephany Alexander is an expert on date screening service. She owns WomanSavers.com which is the World’s Largest Database Rating Men targeting abusive and cheating men. There are abusive men out there and Stephany does not want women who are looking for dates to catch these men. She wants to be able to teach women to research and rate BEFORE they date. And this is the correct way to go about it. She wants to be able to bring out the good men and scratch out the bad ones. She is a relationship expert so she knows what she’s dishing out.

If you want to be able to learn how to distinguish between a good and a bad man, then girl, go visit WomanSavers.com right away!

Useful and funky

My friend’s condominium unit is a bit lacking in space. You know how condo units are. They are really good for one, two, three persons only. Unless you get the really large ones. So my friend resorted to getting space saver items for her unit. She had a common friend who is also an interior designer supervise the renovation of her unit. Making sure the space saver items are incorporated in the structure. She has a table that can be tucked away when not needed. Her closet is tucked inside a corner wall. You won’t even recognize that it is a closet unless you see the indentation that serves as a handle for the sliding door. And of course, to save more space, she bought some funky and useful westway - stools. She bought five of these and put it around her place.

I love how the unit turned out. You would not believe the small space turned out pretty cozy and funky. A couple of us who attended her house blessing were thinking of getting a unit of our own. It was pretty attractive. Especially the westway stools. She told us that she saw it on the internet at WestwayProductions.com and I might buy a pair or three myself. It will surely look good at my mini living room inside my bedroom.

Kick that ball

My little cousin, Gary, is into a lot of sports right now. He loves to play boxing, basketball, hockey, badminton, baseball and soccer. He is hyper most of the time and would be found at the court near our place, playing with his friends. Recently, he has become focused on becoming the soccer team’s goalie. He is quite good at what he does and as a sign of support, I am looking into buying Soccer Equipment for him.

SoccerGoalzInc.com offers soccer goals that are sure made of quality materials and is safe for everyone. It is portable and you can choose from Pop-Up Portable Junior Target Soccer Goal that you can buy for little kids and can easily be set up anywhere at home, be it in your backyard, lawn or even inside the rec room (as long as the rec room is empty), or the Portable Backyard Tournament Soccer Goal which is ideal for competitive training.

The Portable Backyard Tournament Soccer Goal is the one I am eyeing to buy for my brother. He can use this to play with friends or even practice by himself. But it would be really good if I also buy the Pop-Up Portable Junior Target Soccer Goal so that he can practice at the backyard.

If you are also looking for quality soccer equipment, check out SoccerGoalzInc.com now and go buy one for your kid.

Do you need the help of a Debt Collection expert like American Profit? Then look no more. You can get the help of AmericanProfit.net to be able to collect those debts that other companies and individuals owe your company. Not everyone who avails of a credit does good on their promise. Sometimes, unless you call them up and collect, they will conveniently forget the due date of their credit. It was common among businesses out there. I should know. I came from a business that was having a hard time collecting from their clients. I had to go out of my way to visit each client and talk to their business heads just to be able to collect. It took a lot of time to do it. My financial reports suffered because of it. Thank goodness the board of directors understood why I had to let the reports suffer just to get funds come in the company.

If you are in a company that is suffering from a lot of overdue accounts receivables, then go get the help of a collection agency than suffer because collection eats a lot of your time. No need to hire a full time staff to do collection. You can get a collection agency that will not charge high fees and will truly help you get back profits that you lost. The agency I am talking about is AmericanProfit.net, a debt collection expert. Go and visit their site now for more information.
