Dancewear

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Little Hazel will be joining a dance class for little girls by next week. We have been noticing lately how much she loves dancing and singing. Just imagine, she can sing herself to sleep. One of these days, I will video tape her while she is singing and dancing her heart out and I will post it here.

Anyway, back to the dance class. So we have noticed that she loves dancing. When I heard that a professional dance teacher will be holding special classes for kids 5 years old and below, we immediately signed up Hazel. Now, you can see her bubbling with excitement whenever we mention the dance class to her. She will be turning 3 this October and this early, you can see that she will grow up to be a performer. I am just sure that when she is already going to school, she will be one of the active students. I sound like a proud mom, ain’t I?

We will be buying her Leotards - dancewear clothes. We will buy her pastel colored ones because she loves that. I found it at Move Dance Wear. No matter the style, colour or material they have the leotards for your dance show, festival, or just for practice in your dance classes. Check it out at MoveDanceWear.co.uk now.

Good PR = Good Blog Image?

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

While dropping (Entre)cards, I read a post by BonoTravel and the last line of the post reads as follows…

Will PageRank (PR) really improve your blog image?

Let me answer that. NO, a high PR does not necessarily mean that your blog has a good image. Remember there are really good SEO experts out there who can ‘manipulate’ search engine results, making them top searches even though their entries actually contain BS. I know a couple of people who do this kind of thing, just to get PR juice.

You can have a PR of zero but still have great content. It’s just that your blog contains a sprinkling of ads here and there that made the mighty G slap you. I have encountered great blogs because of Entrecard and they have a freakin’ ZERO for a PR. But go over their blogs and their entries are inspiring and interesting and just plain entertaining.

Let me know your thoughts on this :)

Revolutionary stem cell research

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Losing a loved one is never easy. I lost my brother to leukemia about ten years ago. And then I lost my mom to a rare kidney disease more than two years ago. Both sickness could have been cured if there is a commercial cure available for patients like my brother and my mom. But both diseases have been under experimental stage yet. If there is a way to create a cure, even for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s…

C_elle_kit_image

And then here comes C’elle. Have you heard about Stem Cell Research already? Stem Cell Research is one way of saving lives of people who are afflicted with life threatening diseases. What C’elle would like to do is to collect stem cell samples from a woman’s menstrual blood and possibly use it to cure the diseases I mentioned above. And more. Don’t we all want that to happen? Know more About the Science of Stem Cell Research. And read about C’elle Client Testimonial if you want to know more about the procedure.

News on Q

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

My lunch is not complete without Balitanghali. It is the lunchtime news on QTV 11, the sister tv station of GMA-7. I easily get irritated with news anchors who modulate their voices to the point where you cannot understand what they are saying already. But with the two news anchor of Balitanghali, they deliver the news in a no-nonsense way.

Kudos to Pia Arcangel and Raffy Tima for a news program that is worth watching. QTV, just keep the format the way they are. No tabloid-type news, please.

Own gym at home

Monday, July 28th, 2008

It would be great to have fitness equipment at home that I could use. It will save me a lot of money as well. I would love the have a treadmill and a stationary bike at home. I have friends who have their own home gyms. It is a privilege that only a few can afford to have. Investing in fitness equipment is costly. I know that from experience because my aunt has her own gym at home. If she only lives near us I would surely go over her house to make use of her gym.

Costly facials

Monday, July 28th, 2008

If you are suffering from acne, there are treatments available for you now. I remember some of my high school classmates suffered from this affliction and in the past, your only option is to have a regular facial to eliminate the spread of acne on your face. And having a facial before was quite costly. Today, there are several acne treatments that one can choose from. Plus, if one wants to have regular facial treatments, it wouldn’t be as costly as before.

High speed internet and cable tv

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Are you in need of a high speed internet and cable tv? If you are, may I suggest that you look into comcast offers?

Comcast Cable Promotions offers a Comcast Triple Play Deal. You can bundle three of their primary offers: Digital Cable, High-Speed internet and Comcast Digital voice. If you are interested to save on these subscriptions, you can bundle all three. Separately, you can get each service for $33 per month. Personally, I would love to try their high-speed internet service. It comes with a free McAfee Security Suite, it can be boosted to up to 12mbps downloads and it is definitely faster than dial-up or DSL. If you have been reading this blog of mine, you know how dissatisfied I am of my current DSL subscription. It would be great to have an alternative choice for once. An alternative choice that will deliver great service than the alternatives that we have right now.

Then, there is comcast cable tv that features 100+ channels and free on-demand movies and shows. And there is also a comcast digital voice. It boasts of a 1 flat monthly rate and unlimited local and nationwide long distance calls. Now, if you can’t save from the latter feature, I don’t know why.

So check out the comcast promotional offers now. Subscribe. Get it as a bundle and save. Check out Comcast-USDirect.com now.

Think a million times

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

There are decisions made in a person’s life that he regrets in the end. There will be times when he can do something about the decision made, correct it. There will be times when the decision could result to a permanent damage.

A man who chooses vasectomy normally has the idea that he doesn’t want to impregnate someone anymore. It is a permanent birth control, to be exact. No more offspring for the person who undergoes this procedure. There are failures in the operation, of course. I have read, though, that the failure rate is below 1%. In other words, this procedure is more or less accurate. But what if you had vasectomy and after a couple of years or months perhaps, you want it reversed? Is it even possible?

Yes, it is. And you call that procedure vasectomy reversal. Minnesota Men’s Health Center offers this very type of procedure for men who want to reverse vasectomy done to them. They have a high rate of success in bringing back that ejaculation to men. 97% is really high, based on the 700 vasectomy reversals performed in the clinic.

If you are interested with this procedure, better check out MMHC-Online.com right away. Learn more about the procedure from their web site. Consult with the experts on vasectomy reversal. Now, let me suggest that if you don’t want this procedure, think a million times first before undergoing vasectomy in the first place.

Under the weather

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Getting sick with cough and colds is quite common these days. With the weird weather and all… I am still under the weather right now. The good thing about not feeling well is the lack of appetite. Better than drinking diet pills, I tell you. Because I can’t really taste the food I am eating, I don’t feel like eating at all.

This is actually the reason also why I don’t stay online that long. I feel sleepy and sluggish most of the time. And when I think of something to write about, the flow of thought is slow. Anyway, at least I can drop cards, doesn’t require thinking at all.

Have a great day everyone!

2008 SONA and GMA’s last minute attempts to save face

Monday, July 21st, 2008

It is really funny to watch how and hear about Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s last minute attempts to save face. The State of the Nation Address is coming up and she is doing her darn best to scrounge for something that she can tell the nation that she did for the country. Just imagine these…

  • She “appealed” to Petron to make a price roll back when just a few days ago, the fuel companies implemented a price hike.
  • This is what every Filipino has in mind: if she can arm wrestle the fuel companies into doing price rollbacks, why do it only now??? And what’s with the price hike, the fuel companies are lamenting their profit loss, when they can really forego the 1.50php in the first place? Shady, isn’t it?

  • The peso is gaining the upper hand versus the US dollar.
  • Just last week, the exchange rate averages 45php:1usd, what with everything that happened during the typhoon Frank. And then just this morning, I was surprised to see that the peso grew stronger. I doubt if that is really the reason why the exchange rate dipped like that. If you just read the news, you will know that the economy of the country is making a nosedive. So the stronger peso was brought about by something else.

  • The energy subsidy for Meralco clients.
  • Nakakatawa! As if the 500pesos subsidy will really solve the energy problem. The government is good at providing temporary solutions, press releases… But few have really materialized. Few have provided permanent solutions.

That’s just three of the last minute attempts of GMA to save face. Let’s see what “accomplishments” she will brag about in her 2008 State of the Nation Address.

Food Friday: Dragon Fruit

Friday, July 18th, 2008

We bought some fruits a couple of days ago when we went grocery shopping. I haven’t tasted a dragon fruit yet so we bought two. Unfortunately, my sister thought I didn’t want it so they ate it and did not leave anything for me. Will just buy one again :)

Have you tasted this unusual fruit yet?

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!
