Food Friday: Dragon Fruit

Friday, July 18th, 2008

We bought some fruits a couple of days ago when we went grocery shopping. I haven’t tasted a dragon fruit yet so we bought two. Unfortunately, my sister thought I didn’t want it so they ate it and did not leave anything for me. Will just buy one again :)

Have you tasted this unusual fruit yet?

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!

I love that fruit, sis! pero mahal dito sa malls … dun kami sa province ng hubby ko bumibili, medyo mura. :)
tastes good when chilled and eaten kaagad, or made into a fruit shake.

    Happy Friday, sis!

Yes… I did. It’s rather bland, but it’s quite pretty when it’s sliced up.

    hello sasha,

sigi, have a nice weekend na lang.

    regards

It is tasteless. And the color is so scary violet. Don’t worry about it. Just try to eat slowly. I don’t like it, but I tried 3 times.

There are two different varieties, one is blood red inside the other is white. I prefer the red and my 2 yr old the white. I think they have a blueberry-ish flavour…..but are wonderfully refreshing. We love it at our place.

    hi sasha,
if you’re lucky, you’ll get the sweet ones. The sweet ones taste really great and cooling.
But most of the time i got the sour ones… I just dont know choose the sweet ones.

Btw, put it in the fridge before you eat it. Believe me, it’ll taste better.
