Moving and selling

Friday, November 21st, 2008

A neighbor of ours is selling their house and lot. They decided to get a smaller place in the province. Their main reason for doing it is to cut down on costs. Living in the metro is more costly than in the province. They are holding daily garage sales where most of their furniture and other home stuff are being sold. I haven’t gone over to check it but I might this weekend.

One of the things I know our neighbor is fond of is collecting art pieces. He regaled my dad with stories on where he got and how he acquired the paintings that he has. My dad being an art enthusiast himself would drop by from time to time to check if he has something new. Last year, he collected five more paintings from a local artist. But this year, he parted with two. They needed some money for his college kid.

My dad got sad when he heard that our neighbor would be parting with most of his paintings. He is looking for an Art Moving and Storage company like Imagine Mind’s Eye to temporarily take care of the pieces he is selling. He will be bringing with him only two paintings. The rest will be sold, proceeds of which will go to the college fund of their kid.
