MYM – Mayon Volcano

That’s the beautiful Mayon Volcano in Legazpi, Albay. Below is a photo of the people evacuating because of the threat of volcanic eruption…
Residents are evacuated to safer grounds after the volcano spewed ash twice last Wednesday. Mayon volcano was known to have killed so many people when it erupted 16 years ago. But according to the government bureau concerned, alert level remains the same for the active volcano despite what happened and will only be raised when the magma level changes. Thank God for that.

I’m from Albay, too (Ligao City), though I’ve been away for almost 3yrs now. Volcanic ashfall can already affect the crops. Let’s pray for a peaceful Mayon this Christmas!
