So former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada is guilty of plunder. Well, who isn’t? I mean, let us think of one politician who isn’t. Come on, give me one name. Tatay, meron ba? I don’t think there ever was a president who didn’t steal from the country’s coffers.

But hey, don’t get me wrong. Erap deserves the guilty verdict. What I am saying is that, shouldn’t we also start looking into the Arroyo’s? And what about those scams during FVR’s presidency? Dami nyan.

High and mighty

I got so entertained by the issues I was unaware of that happened I think a month ago. Hahahaah… I was laughing while reading their posts. Kasi naman some bloggers are so high and mighty that they think theirs is the only rule to follow. Ayan tuloy… Naaliw talaga ako!

Hay… some bloggers talaga. Blogging should be fun, right? Kaya nga some opted to start a blog because they want a stress free environment. Tapos may stress pa rin pala dito hahaha… Live and let live. If some bloggers want to write about their underwear or their next-door neighbor’s doorknob, so be it. Don’t visit their sites if you don’t want their blog’s content or have anything against their blogs or against how they market their blogs. If some bloggers have opted to join the money-making bandwagon (guilty!), don’t criticize. Again, live and let live. If you can’t stand the liberal amount of sponsored posts in a blog, don’t visit anymore. Eh ano ba pakialam ng iba if you want to write about rhinoplasty all the time? Rhinoplasty and breast augmentation pay in dollars! If we mind those criticisms, it won’t even get us a candy.

I have a question, by the way… who really dictates what is good content anyway? Di ba your readers and not the high and mighty group of pinoy bloggers who think they know best? Hahahah… pati tuloy ako nadamay na sa ranting about these people.

Okay enough. Nadala lang ako sa mga nabasa ko kasi. I still have one more question sana but they might think I just want to be controversial and all. But I am sure a lot of you guys think of this as well…

My weeks in review…

Been too sickly for the past 2 weeks. Probably brought about by the changing weather and lack of sleep. Anyway, now I am much better and have dropped coffee from my daily drinks. I have been drinking sterilized milk since yesterday and have stopped drinking even hot choco and iced tea.

Anyway, this morning, Rho told me that when she opened my site something happened to her pc. So I thought of doing a site “renovation” for the nth time and have hidden some abubot as well as the long blogroll (it’s still there just click on the buttons). I hope you find my site a bit more organized than before. And thanks sis for reminding me to “clean” this site. Been meaning to do it for sometime now…

Sis Becca, Vera, Thess, and Bluepanjeet… already met kuya Lawrence last Tuesday! Hahaha… I will dedicate a post about it when he sends the pictures over. It was so much fun! I still laugh whenever I remember our kalokohans hahahah… We went to kuya Vince’s place and then met Wendy and Karen. Too bad I was not able to meet ironnie and jeprocks. Stay tuned for the whole story
Lastly, thank you to everyone who kept on visiting even though I hardly bloghop these days. I will be visiting daily next week, that’s a promise. And to be able to keep up with my whole blogroll, I am designating 2 days a week for bloghopping only.

Getting hooked on Heroes

I am hooked on HEROES! This tv show replaced X-Files in my heart. The show makes you think, which is something I always look for in a show. You will always have this “aha!” moment when another episode unfolds.

Heroes is a science fiction drama tv series created by Tim Kring. It premiered on September 25, 2006 and tells the story of several people who “thought they were like everyone else… until they realized they have incredible abilities” such as telepathy, time travel, flight and instantaneous regeneration. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind.

The second season is scheduled to premiere on September 24, 2007. And I can’t wait to watch it!

Heroes is like a comic book turned tv series except that this one is more complicated. Here are some characters in the tv show.

Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), more commonly referred to as “Mr. Bennet” or “the Man in Horn-Rimmed Glasses”, a father who works for the Primatech Paper Company, which is actually a cover operation for an organization that investigates people with superhuman abilities. This is so X-Files-like. You know, someone acting normal and for the good of mankind when in fact he is behind something dangerous and is using people around him. Makes you think of th Cigarette-Smoking Man in X-Files.

Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere), Mr. Bennet’s adopted daughter, a high school cheerleader who lives in Odessa, Texas, and has a spontaneous regenerative ability. I love the episode wherein this girl died and was already being autopsied when the tree branch that killed her was removed from her neck, she suddenly breathed and came back to life. Then she realized she was already opened and being autopsied. She saw her lungs, flesh opened wide and ribs showing. It was the best!

Shame on me…

For not posting for almost a week!

I’ve been extremely busy. Extremely. And I’ve been busy with other things.

Anyway…

How are you, friends? I hope everybody’s doing great right now. My boss took a vacation leave for a week. She took advantage of the 2 consecutive long weekends and left a lot of tasks for me to do. It was all cool, though. Not complaining. For the first time I felt I am working once again hehehe…

Been whining about my job for some time now. I know you probably think that I should get a move on and do something about my situation than whine, right? But when you are in a position that a lot of people depends on you, you tend to push aside your personal happiness and think of others instead. And it sucks, believe me. There are days when I keep thinking I should have been a bit more selfish but then again you will realize that their happiness is your happiness as well. And then I’d feel ashamed for even thinking about being selfish and all.

So I am still here taking on a job I have grown to love and hate. But don’t get me wrong, hey. I am thankful I became what I am. Being a CPA brought so much joy to my parents, my grandparents and my relatives have been boasting that I am the first one in the family and would love to see cousins follow in my footsteps. You should have seen the joy in my parents’ eyes when they saw my name on the newspaper. That was and still is the happiest day of my life. My dad immediately told neighbors that I passed the board exams. He called up all our relatives hahaha… And my mom was crying all morning. It was her dream, you see. She just got pregnant with me and shifted to another course instead to make her schedule easier. I remember her telling me that I must study at UST and no other university and that I must take up Commerce (Accountancy now) and no other course. I remembered that we were having lunch that day, when my dad told me that I should take up Law to become a CPA-Lawyer. For a time, I contemplated taking up Law. But my mom was adamant that I not become a lawyer lest I go to hell and all hahaha… and I am too lazy I don’t know if I still have it in me to study that hard again. Plus, do I really want to make my life more complicated than it is? I don’t think so. Then again my dad is always dropping hints when he sees a lawyer on tv. Hahaha

Oh well, I think being a CPA is enough already. Besides, I am giving myself one more year as an employee and will be embarking on another adventure once things get settled.

Hay… I was just planning to update you on what’s happening to me right now this post became a longish post na. Should make up for the week I hadn’t posted an update.

Wasted

Feel wasted right now. I am tired and my eyes are all puffy from lack of sleep. Can one feel wasted and happy at the same time? Probably. I do.

I am enjoying the bed weather right now. Feels good to just lie down on bed all day and do nothing. I still lack sleep so I am doing that after this.

So sorry been too busy doing sponsored posts I haven’t updated for days. I need some moolah because September is a big month for the family. 3 siblings will celebrate their birthdays (3rd, 19th and 26th of the month) and my mom’s death anniversary on the 29th. For the siblings, we will just probably go to dinner except on the 26th because that would be the youngest birthday. Might invite his friends over plus maglalambing yun for sure. And he’s been making parinig about a cellphone for months now. I might succumb to his parinig. As for my mom’s death anniversary (she died September 29, 2005), we will go to Bulacan and spend the day visiting her grave.

Regarding my mom’s grave, my dad and I regretted that we haven’t had her remains cremated instead. It would have been much better if we have her ashes at home or at nearby Mt. Carmel Church. So we’re actually thinking of having her remains exhumed and then cremated. A lot of families have done that already, according to the cemetery caretaker. But we’re still talking about it.

Anyway…

The metro’s flooded again. Our place is not flooded though but all the surrounding streets are. Anyway, for all of you going out, take care and be safe.

A sleepy day in the office

I love the weather. It’s so cold. All I can think about is burrowing under my blanket at home, my new book Train Man and a hot cup of coffee… hay…

Or I can stay under the blanket and doze off for hours.

I just love Him. He knows when I need help and He responds immediately.

Some people think I have lotsa money with me. I earn more than the average employee. I even earn extra income from my sponsored posts. But I am the breadwinner in our family and I support my grandparents. I have mouths to feed. And I am the type of person who can’t say no to relatives. So there comes a time at least once every two months that I go ‘broke’. But you know what, I don’t really worry that much anymore unlike before. Because time and again, I have proven that help comes when I least expect it.

Like today, my budget is close to nil yet when I opened my email a few hours ago, I saw an email from BTOP telling me that they deposited money to my bank account for some referrals. Yey! May pera na uli ako
What I want to say here is that trust in Him and He will surely provide.

12 going on 29… Take it! Take it!

It was a great long weekend for me. I was able to rest and read some books. I was able to sleep a lot as well, something I’ve been neglecting when I am not sick. That is why you haven’t seen me around for days. I update my blogs because of the sponsored posts I need to upload but afterward, I log out and go back to bed.

Anyway, now I am not sick anymore and I am well-rested. Rain started pouring this afternoon and it was really good. Life is so much better when you see it through happy eyes

Hey It’s Me!

Yay! 29 na ako ngayon. Hmm… ano’ng feeling? Wala, same pa rin. Hehehe… May sore eyes, pagaling na. Wala ng lagnat. Eto gising pa ngayon, 1:38AM na. Nakikinig ako sa 96.3 WRock, Close to you ng Carpenters ang tugtog. Why do birds suddenly appear…

Tatay Schumey was the first to greet me. Thanks, tatay! Rho was the first to call me up. Mucho thanks, sister! Touched ako sobra! Tapos na-greet na rin ako ni Ate Neng sa Friendster. Salamat sa ecard, mamang! At si Mousey Ju, nag-boogie na sa tagboard ko hehe… salamat mwah mwah! But of course a lot of friends already greeted me na rin even before today hehe… salamat sobra sa inyo!

A year from now, 30 na ako. By then, I will celebrate it talaga! As in big bash yun! Hehehe… I still have a year to prepare for it hehehe… Natutuwa ako sobra sa bunso namin, si James. Kanina biglang nagsabi sa amin… “ako na sa ice cream ni ate ha, wala ng aagaw.” Hahaha… Muntik akong maluha! May celebration kaming pamilyang may mga sore eyes. Hahahah si James na lang ang wala. For now, ano bang wishes ko bukod sa good health and more wealth? Hmm… Basta safe lahat ng mahal ko sa buhay okay na sa akin. If I can have one uber impossible wish that He will grant me now? To have my mom and my brother back. I miss them so much! Hay iyakan portion na naman…

Anyway, I am rambling. Birthday ko naman kaya okay lang hehehe. Next week na ako mag-celebrate nang todo with friends. I owe a treat to my girl friends, Shen, Tim, Jing and Che and Irish and Mhor. Next week na lang!
At may isa pa pala akong wish… the man for me. Yihee! Hahahah… Mag-30 na ako. When I was in my mid-20s, lagi ang sinasabi ko I will marry when I turn 35 pa. Pero when you reach your 29th birthday pala, nagbabago yun. Hahaha… I want a baby next year. Kahit baby muna at yung asawa kahit sa 35th birthday ko na. Hahahah… Naku joke lang! Magagalit ang mga kuya, tatay, inay and itay! Hahaha joke lang po!

Ayan, tapos na ramblings ko. Hahaha… Hay natutuwa lang ako sobra talaga. Nag-uunahan mga friends kong bumati. Alam nila ang kababawan ko kasi hahaha… Basta mabasa ko lang na nag-happy birthday sila ayos na ako. Ayan, naka-smile na ako. For sure si bespren Lem bukas pa babati. Laging sablay yun eh. Hahahah

What a gift!

I am sick. I have sore eyes! And a high fever to boot! I was sent home this afternoon. I might cause an epidemic in the office. Oo nga naman.

This puts a damper on my birthday plans but hey, He must have His own reason why I got sore eyes.

Revelation Sunday

A meme is a good way of spreading love and meeting interesting bloggers. I have joined Thursday 13 and Friday’s Feast mainly because I love the free flowing process of the memes and to be quite honest, I want additional traffic to this site.

But the latter goal was put aside because I now truly enjoy these memes I’ve joined. I got to meet a lot of interesting bloggers through these and have even met three Pinay bloggers, Friday’s Child, Bongga Mom and Joyce.

Just the other day I was talking to a friend and we’re thinking of ways on how to get to know other bloggers even more. Let’s face it, not all of us know a lot about our blogger-friends. And when we’re bombarded with a lot of information at once, we pick out the most interesting tidbit about him/her and gloss over the rest.

So I thought of putting up a long-term meme just like Thursday 13 and Friday’s Feast…

Revelation Sunday will be a bi-monthly meme (every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month), free flowing and will be about anything you want to reveal about yourself. It can be as simple as I took my officemate’s pen the other day to a more deep one like I have an STD… anything you want to reveal at all.

Happy Monday!

It’s Monday once again. For some reason, I always feel rushed, down and a bit tired on Mondays. I fight the feeling, of course. I want to start my Monday right. But today is one of those days.

My bunso, Hazel/Etey, is sick. She has sore eyes. Kainis kasi parents nya masyadong pabaya sa anak. This little kid would always knock at our gate early in the morning. She’d go directly to my room to sleep beside me again. She’d stay with my dad the whole day and would wait for me and my sisters to come home at night. When she gets sleepy, that’s the time she’ll look for her mom and go home. Ampon ko na nga halos. And I love that kid so much. She’s already a part of the family and I treat her like my own kid. She’s so sweet and would always ask for me to pick her up and go somewhere. She’s a Trinoma kid. Ask her who’s going to Trinoma and she would raise her hand. Hahaha…

She has a fever when I left her this morning. I asked her mom to take her to a pediatrician so that we know what medicine to give her. She smiled at me this morning and I was so touched because eventhough she’s not feeling well, she still managed a sweet smile for me.

My sister, Grace, has sore eyes as well. Hazel poked her in the eye yesterday and when she woke up today, her left eye is swollen already. She went to school (she’s teaching English in Sienna College) and asked the school nurse to issue a health certificate that she cannot teach today. I was late today because she made lambing pa that I cook some breakfast for her.

I just wish I don’t get sick this week.

Halo-halo special

First of all, it’s not my birthday today. Next Friday pa po. August 3 hehe… I’ll be turning 29 then I forgot to put a comma in between “next next Friday” the last time hehe

Anyway, I got transferred to another area in the office. I’m near the expat’s office na. Dumudugo ang ilong ko all the time… kaka-English! Hehehe… Nah, just kidding. I’ve worked with Americans, Chinese, Japanese, British, and now Australians. The last one are the most laid back bosses. Yes, they have their own demands, and yes, there are times you’d feel they’re treating you as second-class citizens of your own country. But they definitely value quality of life more than the other nationalities I’ve mentioned. These Australians does not encourage us to do overtime work. Ang masama, the Filipino bosses are the ones who espouse this culture of “petiks sa umaga, OT sa gabi“. Baguhin na kasi ang ugaling ganyan…

So I am now seated beside our Clients Services Manager, HR Generalist and the Admin Officer. They got the shock of their lives when they realized I’m madaldal and palabiro. Eh kasi naman I don’t really talk to people na di ko feel. And it’s never been my attitude to join a conversation that I don’t know anything of. They thought I am shy and reserved. Hahahah… Shy? Hmm… Wala pa yatang nagsabi sa akin nyan. Thank God I am now near sane people
Oh, by the way, I already finished the book. Grabe, I did not stop until I finished the book. It was really great! Kudos to JK Rowling for ending the series with a big bang! Literally.
