My friend, Andrew, is an IT guy. Most of the things I know in troubleshooting and computer software I learned from him. He is a very generous guy, especially with what he knows. My cousin, Eugene, works really hard. He is newly married and as most people like him, he wants to be able to provide for his wife, give her a house of their own and make their married life comfortable. He works six days a week. He actually basks in the glow of new marriage so he kept on going with his impossible routine. But when we saw him, we told him that he also has to save time for himself, even for a few hours a week. There are really days when all you want to do is lie round the house, do nothing but rest. I felt that way for two weeks. But I could not lie around because I work at home, there were so many things to do, to accomplish. So I felt sluggish and yet I could not stop working. I just dragged my feet for two weeks, forcing myself to be energetic even when I don’t feel like it.
My cousin berated me about working and working and not resting enough. He is the type of person who really takes the time to stop working on weekends. He spends it playing online casino or going out with his friends. But since he is saving money for a planned Australian trip by October, he sticks to hanging out at home on weekends rather than going out. He would rather read a good book, play internet casinos and catch up on sleep. Well, I do the last one on Sundays but still, there are days I feel like I really need some more sleep, a lot of rest. I am so darn tired of complaining to my service provider about my internet connection speed. You see, I am paying for up to 1258 kbps internet connection speed. My local provider is Bayantel. For a few days now, I have noticed the decline in the speed of my connection. I noticed that it takes a while before a blog loads that normally loads faster before. I complained at Bayantel’s customer service and they reset the modem. After that, the connection speed improved but after 30 minutes or so, it declined once more. And even right at this very moment, the connection speed I am getting is 1/6 of the speed that I am paying for. Let me just stress this one… I pay on time! There were months that I even paid in advance because I don’t want any hassle with my internet connection as this is the life of my work.
I complained again last night about this. And do you know what? All this time I did not know how to check my internet connection speed until the kind CS told me about this website…
They should have told me this a long time ago! I was relying on them to make sure everything was working fine. All this time, there are hours in a day that I am getting a measly portion of what I am paying for. This pisses me off big time! Wait until I get really mad at them and I will go to their office to give their officer a piece of my mind.Anyway, I have asked that a technician from Bayantel schedule a check up of my modem and other things related to my DSL connection. If the situation will not improve, then I will say goodbye to Bayantel. Any local DSL provider that you can recommend?

You might have noticed that I join a lot of photo memes. You see, I am a frustrated photographer. I love taking pictures and making it look like art. That is because I am also a frustrated painter. Sigh. So many frustrations in life. Thank goodness for modern technology even if you are not that talented, you can remedy your inadequacies with digital technology. There is photoshop and so many tools now that can make your mediocre photo look like it is taken by a pro.
And since I love taking photos, you must know that I always have my camera with me. I take photos of even insignificant objects because you know, these objects that most people ignore are those that make beautiful art. I remember one time I was eating lunch alfresco when I looked up and saw a small insect on the bark of the tree in front of me. I immediately took out my digital camera and I took a photo of it. Do you know what came out? A small bug looking like it is saying hi to me. I love that photo and it serves as my wallpaper for my laptop.

When you go home from work, you feel so tired that all you want to do is go to sleep, right? I feel that way most of the time. Last weekend, a friend of mine visited and we whined about our work and our mean bosses. We whined about not getting enough play time and more and more of work time. But you know, this whining were all done just to release pent up emotions. We are both thankful of the work we have, particularly the salaries we are receiving. It’s just that, there are days when you really want to just sleep all day long, eat leisurely and not gulp down your food, just laze around and spend a day doing things not related to work…

Not everyone is a social animal. I mean, there are people who would rather stay at home and hang out there rather than go out and party at a bar somewhere.
