Wordless Wednesday
Early this year we visited an Aquatic World located in Belgium. This fascinating aquarium compose of Sharks and coral reefs hall. We’ve seen a total of 2,500 aquatic creatures from all over the world. It has 46 tanks with natural looking biotopes. There are more than 155,000 litres of fresh and salt water. The tanks filled with 66,000 litres which is the home of sharks. We also learned the fauna of seas, lakes and rivers throughout the world. At he 2nd floor of the building is a 1.000 m² Museum of Zoology that shows the evolution of world fauna, from the sponge to the whale, from the tinest insects to the elephant . The highlight of the museum is the 19 meters length whale. There are also skeletons from dolphin, koala, gorilla, rhinoceros, anaconda, mygales, octopuses and shells. All in all there are more than 20.000 preserved specimen.
