The Gummy Bear originates from Germany where it is hugely popular under the name Gummibärchen (rubber bears). The German company Haribo from Bonn first produced bear-shaped sweets in 1922 and introduced its Gold-Bear product in the 1960s. The success of Gummy Bears has spawned many gummy animals and objects: worms, frogs, hamburgers, cherries, cola bottles, sharks, apples, oranges, and even gummy Mice.

I enjoyed learning about the history of those gummi worms that give me the creeps when the students have them in school! And gummi mice? ewwwww

We love Gummy Bears. The children especially.
Julian managed to eat 15+ gummy vites two weeks ago even if I told him those were not the candies but THE vitamins.
Good thing he was ok. Argh!
