My mobile phone plan provider informed me this afternoon that I can go to their office at the mall to claim a brand new mobile phone. Its part of their commitment to their plan subscribers to change their phone units once a year. And the nice thing about it is that, you will not exchange your current unit, the old one is yours. So I went there to ask for a brand new phone model. They let me chose from a variety of fad phones. I chose one of the a well known brand series mobile phones that has the features of a laptop computer, giving an access to internet. The phone has a bigger and wider screen than the usual mobile phones. I don’t want to bringing with me my laptop during my trips. I wanted a lighter baggage that’s why I chose this phone. Accessing my mail, submitting my blog posts, updating my friendster account, searching online listening and watching my favorite artists on online videos and music and most of all my online shopping like this time I am scouting poker chips as a birthday gift for my brother in law who is fun of playing poker with the rest of the family. These are some possible things I can do without bringing my laptop anymore. Cool huh? Thanks to the latest technology.

Next year, I’m pretty sure another feature will be added to brand new mobile phones this year, I will have again the chance to pick another brand new phone, maybe I’ll let my sister chose because I plan to stick to this phone for a longer period of time.

My nephew will be celebrating a his 12th birthday a few months from now. When I asked him what is his wish, he seriously looked into my eyes and told me he would think about it. So I gave him time to decide while praying in my mind he will chose a gift I can afford. After a while, it was time for me to go home, so I told him he has only until tomorrow to decide.

The next day he called me up to tell me he wanted to have a New York City Sightseeing with his siblings. I almost dropped my mobile phone! But since I was the one who asked him what he wants, I have to be committed to my words. So, I told him, I will search online to find the best travel agency for this. After hanging up, I took my calculator to compute how much can I aff0rd.

The next day, my nephew called me up again. I haven’t searched because I have been busy at work. He asked me if he is permitted to change his wish for his birthday. When I told him yes, I was praying again he wont chose another expensive wish. To my surprise, he asked me if I could sponsor a party for the kids who are undergoing chemo therapy in a public hospital near our place. It turned out that he has a friend who was diagnosed of cancer of the liver. When he went to visit him in the hospital, he met the other cancer patients who eventually became his friends. I can not help but shed tears while he was telling the stories about his new friends. I’m so touched by his gesture. With his young mind, Im so amazed on his ways of caring for these people who are in need. I told him, we will definitely sponsor for these kids. After our conversation, I immediately phoned my sister and my brother in law to inform them how caring and socially responsible their son is.

Now, because of that, I think I will still give him his first wish.

I think my yahoo mail is not working anymore. I have not been receiving email messages ever since Sunday. Its very surprising to have zero new emails in my inbox. It just feels weird because I receive about twenty to forty new emails everyday. The last two emails I received was the one from Amazon.com telling me I won Amazon coupons and a birthday reminder from my online planner I wonder what happened with my account? Anyone out there, a little help please…
