On being vegitarian

Filed under: food — admin @ 12:16 am

Everyday I prepared vegetable dishes for my vegetarian hub. So in terms of cooking I prepared always two dishes. Sometimes I need more time just doing this. But most of the time all his food are easy to prepare like salads or blanched veggies. Sometimes I experiment instead of meat as the ingredients I substituted it with tuna. There are also ready to eat veggie products in the market or in the reform house that provide nutritional supplements. H started to become vegetarian when he was still a kid. I also see to it that he has a complete intake of the vitamins and minerals since he only eat veggies. And one meat alternative are soya products which I like too.

I had a lunch date with my hub and I ordered something I am not familiar with a steamed rice with chicken fricassee. It taste good and I learn that it is also easy to prepare. The meat, usually chicken or veal, cooked in its own stock, or a wine and stock mixture, then thickened with cream. Find the recipe here

The Gummy Bear originates from Germany where it is hugely popular under the name Gummibärchen (rubber bears). The German company Haribo from Bonn first produced bear-shaped sweets in 1922 and introduced its Gold-Bear product in the 1960s. The success of Gummy Bears has spawned many gummy animals and objects: worms, frogs, hamburgers, cherries, cola bottles, sharks, apples, oranges, and even gummy Mice.
