Family trips

I want a new digital camera and a camcorder. The ones I have now are old and the batteries are already acting up. We have plans of going on a few trips within the year. I want to make memories out of it and a digicam and a camcorder are essential tools in making memories.

For now, I make do with what I have. Good thing I still have a month to go before our first family trip. I still have time to choose before buying.

Unfair

I read an entertainment news about a local actress buying a PhP25-million purchase of diamonds. Wow! If I have that kind of money, I would probably have scheduled several trips outside the country already!

When you think about it, life is truly unfair. Celebrities earn so much, hundred times more than what an average employee earns. Sometimes, what a celebrity earns from a single movie she makes is even bigger that what an employee earns in a year! It would depress you when you analyze it some more so I better stop thinking about it now.

Thinking of the sink

My dad dreamt about my mom telling him something about the old Franke sink that we had in the past. It was a weird dream considering I was thinking of the very same sink just the other day. I was thinking of my mom that time, too, while I was hosing the sink. I guess my mom was there in spirit so she somehow told my dad about the sink.

This means some minor kitchen renovation this April. My plans are already concrete in my head. I just have to tell my dad about it exactly.

Magnitude 8.8 Earthquake in Chile

These are some of the images of the devastation left by the magnitude 8.8 temblor that shook central Chile last Saturday. First, there’s Haiti. Now, it’s Chile.

Thank God the tsunami scare was just that. A scare. There were 5.5 feet waves that hit the shores of Japan, according to reports I’ve read. But that’s okay compared to the predicted 15 feet tsunami waves that would hit Hawaii, Japan, Russia, Alaska and California.

Let us all pray that this won’t happen again here in the country or anywhere else in the world. Let us all pray for the recovery of Haiti, Chile and all the victims of the earthquakes that shook both countries.
