In Abundance

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

I often forget the endless blessings that come from Him. Di ba nga they said that if you pray, why worry? But of course, easier said than done especially with my position.

I must admit that the recent Google slap that happened across the 4 corners of the www hit me hard. I monetize my blogs, you see, and getting a -2 on my pageranks was really a big blow to me. I earn a lot with my akoni site (Ate Ghee, pramis pag-uwi mo talaga sa WB tayo, u know*wink*… sagot ko! hahahah) that was a PR4 before and after the Google slap, it went down to PR2. Same with my blogspot site than went down 1 PR. I worried a lot that I might not earn as much as before.

I forgot that I am praying nga pala. And so many people are praying for me including my lovable monk kuya Dom Lawrence. Binatukan ako ni Lord kanina lang, just a few minutes ago kasi ang arte ko raw! Hehehe… I received a notification from Sponsored Reviews about an offer for this site…

*Click nyo na lang yung pic para makita nyo how much ang offer sa akin hehehehe…

I was laughing but teary-eyed at the same time. Sobra mambatok si Lord ano? Hehehe…

I forgot that around 2nd month of this blog, I started earning big bucks from this one na. Even without a pagerank pa. Bonus na lang that I got a PR2 for this one already. I kept on focusing on my other blogs and the negative things that happened instead of focusing my energy more on this one and the positive things that I gained ever since I started monetizing my blogs.

You’re probably wondering why I am so keen, and obviously, addicted to making money online? Well, I plan to buy a car by December. Kaya ba ng kita ko? Hmm… we’ll see. So far I have bought a lot already from my income. A sofa set, antique mirror, a TV rack, some closets, a bed for my dad, a crib for Hazel, new mattresses for us, 6 cellphones for the whole family, digicam, and not to mention countless shoppings done since I received my first batch of payments. Doesn’t sound like much for some people but believe me, I will never earn this much from my 8-5 job.

Anyway, my point is, I need not worry because I know He will provide. And another thing, I should tell you, my friends, that I seldom visit your blogs because aside from being busy making money, I am still having problems with my internet connection. It’s a long story but to make it short, PLDT refuses to grant me a DSL line because of my neighbors, Bayantel is slower than a turtle, Globe does not cover our area and there is nothing else for me to do but wait until either PLDT listens to my appeals or Bayantel finally gets its act together. For now, tiyaga muna sa connection ko talaga. And hingi na rin ako ng pasensya sa inyo kasi nga bihira na ako makadalaw.

I will make another post for some link love for those people who kept on visiting me kahit pa di ako masyadong makadalaw sa kanila :)

Always remember…

When God closes a door, He opens a window.

Happy Wednesday to everyone! Mwah!

I Met The Monk!

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Aha! I already met the monk! The monk is Dom Lawrence, OSB, a monk-blogger I met a few weeks ago. Wow kuya, it WAS just a few weeks ago nga ano? And yet, it felt like we’ve been friends for so long…

So he went home for some family matters and have emailed and texted us that we ought to see each other nga raw. It was supposed to be last August 26, a Sunday, because the next day was a holiday. Unfortunately, I forgot about it. Hahahah… Di ko raw kasi hawak ang buhay ko… hawak daw ng blog ko buhay ko! Hahahah… Si kuya talaga! He met with ironnie and jeprocks. Sayang, met them na rin sana.

So we re-set our EB and saw each other last September 4 at The Block. We were supposed to see each other by 11am. We were texting and he said that he’s already at the MRT. 12nn, I was wondering what happened to him na. Duda ko naligaw… naligaw nga! Hahaha… I was laughing so hard when I got his text message… naligaw nga sya. Kasi naman sabi ko SM North Edsa, ang sinabi sa babae sa MRT SM West!!! Hahahah katawa talaga. And he was not even telling me that he didn’t know how to go to the place. Saka I didn’t know he’ll be coming from Cavite pa hehe.

Sabi ni kuya… It’s embarrassing to get lost in your own native land.

I still laugh whenever I remember that. So ang 11am namin naging 1pm. You’re probably thinking bakit naman kasi 11am, too early… kasi I got forewarned that kuya is makwento. So I figured, kulang 1 araw sa aming dalawa kung ganon! Hahaha… And I am right! Goodness, ang ingay namin sa Burgoo! We were laughing and mas nabusog ako sa tawa kesa sa kinain namin hahahah…

Si kuya, texting lang ang pahinga! As in promise! Hahahaha

I am fulfilling my promise of blog hopping for this week.

And wow, I didn’t know I have such a long list of blogger friends! I haven’t even gotten to a quarter of my blogroll yet… Kapagod hahahah… I have been reading some interesting posts and have gathered quite a bit of ideas from you people.

More blogs to visit…

See you!

I need traffic…

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Hi guys! I really need some traffic for my akoni site. Can you drop by kahit no comment ok lang. You will see my review of A Directory of Moving Companies, the first ever ReviewMe purchased review from my site.

Also, read my review of The Million Dollar Wiki site.

Comment na rin kayo sa look ng site if you want. Thanks, guys! :)

Maulan, baha na naman… ingat sa pag-uwi!

P.S. Take note of the advice I have for bloggers who are into sponsored posts like me, okay.

Sukob na…

Monday, July 16th, 2007

I was supposed to be on blog leave for a week. I am currently finishing ten books that I’ve marked for reading. Sounds geeky ano? Haha. I haven’t read a book for months because I am focused on these online revenue programs. But that’s not the only reason why I took a blog leave. I am also taking care of a personal matter. Good thing that personal matter’s already in Canada. Sad? Relieved? Can’t decide.

I visited some blogs today. I was supposed to post something tomorrow, on a different topic, but this blog inspired me to post something today and spread some love. BluePanjeet has “Sukob na” embedded in his blog. I’ve been playing the song over and over. It’s a song that makes me smile for the simple reason that it brings back good memories. And it brought back so many good ones. Especially that Saturday night I got sick. Hahaha… Can you see me smiling? :) BluePanjeet’s starting a Food for the Soul series of posts. So watch out for it. The photos of food (that will make you hungry, believe me) are taken from Dom Lawrence, OSB. Visit Brother Dom’s blog if you need some spiritual pep talks. Of course you can visit Br. Vince’s as well. Mas smiling face lang si brother Dom kay kuya (peace kuya!) :)

I would just like to tell everyone that my Alexa rank is improving each and every day. Thank you, Mousey! We contributed a little to the rank’s improvement. But it’s all 90% of her efforts paying off. Nakakahiya sa kanya. We’re all reaping the fruits of her hard work. And at the rate things are going, baka we’ll be in the top 100,000 come year-end. Yey! I will make it up to you, sister. Promise yan. Do check out her post about her weekend. It’s her hubby’s birthday this week so she’s really busy cleaning up the house for the upcoming celebration.

I changed my theme, obviously, and finally managed to organize my links. Please check if I linked u up and your link is correct. If not, please tell me and I apologize in advance. I will act on it immediately.

I can’t stop smiling.

Sukob na, halika na… sabay tayo sa payong ko… Yakap ka, kapit pa… Umulan, bumagyo magkasama tayo sa payong ko magkasama tayong dalawa…

Wishin’ and hopin’

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Obviously, for those who’ve seen me already, I’m not a weight-conscious person. I am comfortable with who I am. I am confident that people won’t look at me physically, but would rather accept me for who I really am. Of course there are some people who will be different than the rest and I can’t help that anymore. I know for a fact that I can’t please everybody.

BUT there are times when I wish I am someone else. When insecurities would surface and make me want to be different from who I am.

He’s here right now. I just talked to him last night. APS… Hay… baket ngaun pa?? Hindi na lang sa 2008?? And I’ll see him this weekend. He wants to see me tomorrow night but I said sa weekend na lang. :(

Before I started with BlogtoProfit (BTOP), I was wary of online money-making programs because I was thinking that it might be a scam or something. Until I was told by the Devilicious Queen that some are legitimate and she’s already making money out of it. She referred me to BTOP and has since applied, got approved and enjoyed (and made money from) all the programs I am enrolled with.

A couple of days ago, I got an offer to do freelance work for another writer. It’s mostly article rewriting. I didn’t take the offer because I realized that I don’t have time for it anymore. I’m normally wasted (read: cranky and irritable) in the morning mainly because I am a night person and I stay up late (til around 2am) every night. Taking the offer would mean I probably need to stay awake until 3 or 4am to finish the work. I can’t afford that. I need to be at the office around 10am.

It’s not a lot of money actually but then it’s a start and it might translate to a long-term business relationship with the writer.

So now I am wishing that I have more time to blog and less time for accounting hehe

You might be thinking that I haven’t visited your blogs for a long time now and yes, it’s true. I was busy with my other blog, making money and all. I was also moody the past couple of days and I normally don’t comment on posts when I don’t feel like it. I gather it would be much better to stay put and not bloghop until my sanity comes back.

And a couple of hours from now it’ll come back :)

Happy Monday everyone! Payday weekend this coming Sat and Sun, yipee!!!

Something New (again)

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

I have changed my theme again. I have been told by some blogger-friends of mine that my previous theme crashes in IE after a few seconds of loading. I don’t know what’s the problem and I don’t want to look for it so I decided to change themes instead.

Same header, though.

Thank you to those who gave me a heads up. Appreciate it very much! If you see any error flashing, please drop me a line at [email protected] so I can fix/do something about it.

Thanks!

We thought it’s Father’s Day tomorrow and my siblings and I prepared for it already. My dad told us it is on the 17th! Hahaha, pahiya pa tuloy kami! :D

This site has been approved by Blog to Profit. There will be 10 posts after this for the link assignments they gave me.

For the memes, I will do it after the BTOP assignment.

Independence Day on June 12 but applying GMA’s holiday economics, it was moved to Monday, June 11. I’m pretty sure everyone will be out malling by Monday.

Include us! :)

Happy weekend everyone!

Ocean’s Thirteen and PMS

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

I am so lazy for the past 3 days now. I can’t think properly and I’m always craving for something sweet or salty. Yesterday, my lunch consisted of a chocolate bar. Last night, I was craving for Yakisoba. This morning, I was thinking of champorado with lots of milk. PMSy, I know.

I am very excited to watch Ocean’s Thirteen! I love George Clooney! And Matt Damon! It’s raining men in that movie! Hehehe… Who’d come with me ha? :)

Ask Me!

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

1. If someone would offer to pay a cooking class for you, what would that class be?
Hmm… tough first question! I am not really fond of cooking but I love watching cooking shows! Hehe… Chase, I am definitely interested with that video cooking show of yours.

But to answer the question, I would join a Spanish cuisine class.

2. What type of person would be interested in reading your blog?
Someone who loves life, is a newbie in monetizing their blogs, and is out for some fun and making new friends through blogging.

3. What is the weirdest experience have you encountered as a blogger?
Being so mad at a fellow blogger for being so @$#%! I am not like that at all, online or offline. There’s just something about that blogger that ticked me off!

4. Do you envision yourself blogging 5 years from now. Why or why not?
Yes, I can see myself blogging 5 years from now. Blogging is already a part of my life. It’s like a part of me already and going without it is unthinkable. Besides, this is my way of ‘de-cluttering’ my mind, reducing stress, getting away from accounting and having fun meeting new friends!

5. If you had the opportunity to meet one showbiz celebrity that you admire the most in the world, who would that person be? Why?
Oprah! I would love to know what makes her tick. It would be good to talk to her about her book club, Angel network, Harpo and her personal life.

Interview rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

I met with fellow bloggers at Gerry’s Grill this afternoon for a lunch of some getting-to-know-you and fun.

Tatay Schumey, Arbet, Masterbetong, Kneeko (aha! inay di ko nabatukan! hehe), ate Melai and kuya Vince. ‘Twas a lotta fun! Talking to these people made me realize something… I know so little! Hahaha… Especially with the first three. Wow, tatay! It was really great listening to everything you’ve said. And tay, notice you’re the only one without your own domain? Get one na! Haha

So glad to have finally met you all! :)

Pictures to follow from the guys.

And to ate Melai… goodluck on your journey to a new country, new life. It would probably be tough in the beginning (especially without the internet connection, God forbid! haha kidding) but I just know that a survivor like you will find ways to make everything work. God bless, te! Pabaon namin prayers for you. Take care, te and keep us posted. Labyu, te!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Monetize, Fame it!

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

I have joined Blogging to Fame! It is a contest for bloggers out there who needs to “establish their authority in the blogosphere”.

All you need to do is register your blog and that’s it! Voting begins.

Contest rules can be found here.

Notice the button on my sidebar that says “Like My Style? Fame Me!“? If you truly like my blog or me as a blogger, I’m asking you to take your time to vote for me.

***I have been so busy trying to earn some extra income to buy me a laptop. Oh, I can get it from my salary or from my savings but I don’t want to. I don’t want to incur additional expense and would rather get it out of extra income from my blogging. I know you have noticed an ‘onslaught’ of sponsored posts in my other blog. Please bear with me, friends. (more…)

Task for tonight #1:

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Finish the blogroll for this blog and bloghop.

So busy with work and other stuff, there’s not enough time for everything else.

Thank you for visiting and tagging and leaving comments always.
