Food Friday: Chocolate Crinkles

Friday, July 11th, 2008

These are little chocolate crinkles. Chocolate crinkles are little chocolate cookies rolled in powdered sugar. The cookies take on a crackled appearance. And I buy the brand Chocolitos. Super yummy and I munch on two to three of these during the weekend. Yum!

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!

P.S. I seem to be advertising local products left and right hehehe…

Food Friday: Brownie Javakula

Friday, June 27th, 2008

I am not much into cold coffee drinks but whenever I feel like drinking one, I always get a Brownie Javakula from Seattle’s Best. It has this bittersweet taste that I really love. Plus the brownies in it are yummy! It also has chocolate sprinkles mixed in it that I look for in cold coffee drinks :)

Want one?

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!

P.S. Blatant advertising ito! Hehe

Food Friday: Sisig

Friday, June 20th, 2008

I love Sisig! Whenever we go to Gerry’s Grill or Dencio’s, expect a sizzling plate of sisig to be ordered. According to Wikipedia

Sisig is a Kapampangan term which means “to snack on something sour”. Sisig as is popularly known today is actually sizzling sisig, a Philippine dish made from parts of pig’s head, liver and usually seasoned with kalamansi and chili peppers.

I actually didn’t know that Sisig is a Kapampangan term. Well, figures anyway. Kapampangans are the best when it comes to food.

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!

Food Friday: Champorado

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Champorado (Tagalog: tsamporado) is a sweet chocolate rice porridge in Filipino cuisine. It is traditionally made by boiling sticky/sweet rice and cocoa powder giving it a distinctly brown color. However, dry champorado mixes, which may be found in some Asian food stores, are prepared by adding just boiling water. It can be served hot or cold and with milk and sugar to taste. It is served usually at breakfast and sometimes together with dried fish locally known as tuyo.

The pudding becomes very thick and the lighter milk helps to “loosen” it. It’s almost like eating “chocolate oatmeal.” It can be eaten as a snack or dessert as well. Sweet rice can be found in most Asian aisles of a grocery store.

I love eating champorado for breakfast. Not everyday, though. At least once in a while. I know some people eat this with tuyo but I haven’t tried it yet. Is it good?

Happy Friday everyone! Have a fun weekend! :)

Food Friday: Home-made Spaghetti

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Pardon the quality of the photo, I took this shot using my old phone camera and I was so hungry already my hands were shaking *lol*

We are a family who loves to eat pasta. There are days when dinner would be just pasta and some garlic bread. My sister cooked this one and it may not look good in the photo but trust me, it was delicious! We love our spaghetti a bit sweet and spicy. And sis does just that. Plus she makes our garlic bread and it is yummy as well!

Made me soooo hungry looking at this one. Will eat champorado in a while. That would be my next Food Friday entry ;)

Happy Friday everyone!

Food Friday: Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Whenever we eat at Yellow Cab, we always order Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta. It is a spicy pasta with mushroom, chicken and nuts. I love its spicy flavor. I am not normally crazy about nuts in my food except to eat it separately or with kare-kare but with Charlie Chan…

A box is intended for 2-3 people. But if you have a big appetite, well, you can eat it all alone. My brother can ;)

Happy Friday everyone!

Online party

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Fe is a friend of mine. For some reason, she just disappeared for a number of months. She did not make contact with any one of us. Before she disappeared, she was quite depressed with how things are going in her life. There had been so many setbacks that she encountered along the way and she just had enough of it. There are so many factors that she considered and was actually convinced by Online casino, of all things. It played a big part in her new life. That’s what she told me when she resurfaced a couple of weeks ago. She had enough of her work, her boss, her co-workers, the stress. She had enough of her boyfriend, their relationship. And even her demanding family. So what she did was, upon seeing her more than enough savings, she left some with her mom and she packed her bags. She went to a popular beach resort here in the country and worked there as a receptionist. Take note, she was a human resources manager when she quit her job. But since she wants a less stressful work and a vacation as well, she thought of applying at the beach resort and was hired.

She worked during the day and partied at night. She spent her weekends learning fire dancing, imagine that! And you know what? She spends her Saturday nights playing Online Casino and lives the stress-free life.

If you want to go on an online party, then Da.PartyCasino.com is the place to be. Go check it out now and start playing online casino games.

Kiddie soccer equipment

Friday, March 7th, 2008

My brother is into a lot of sports right now. He loves playing basketball, hockey, badminton, football and soccer. He is hyper most of the time and would be found at the court near our place, playing with his friends. Recently, he has become focused on becoming the soccer team’s goalie. He is quite good at what he does and as a sign of support, I am looking into buying Soccer Equipment for him.

SoccerGoalzInc.com offers soccer goals that are sure made of quality materials and is safe for everyone. It is portable and you can choose from Pop-Up Portable Junior Target Soccer Goal that you can buy for little kids and can easily be set up anywhere at home, be it in your backyard, lawn or even inside the rec room (as long as the rec room is empty), or the Portable Backyard Tournament Soccer Goal which is ideal for competitive training. Both are priced reasonably and can be shipped at a flat rate of $10.

The Portable Backyard Tournament Soccer Goal is the one I am eyeing to buy for my brother. He can use this to play with friends or even practice by himself. It is 6-ft high by 12-ft wide design with heavy-duty galvanized steel tubing to ensure safety of kids like him. But it would be really good if I also buy the Pop-Up Portable Junior Target Soccer Goal so that he can practice at the backyard.

If you are also looking for quality soccer equipment, check out SoccerGoalzInc.com now and go buy one for your kid.

Your kid's winning hands

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I remember when we were kids, my cousins used to play baseball with their friends. Living in a rural area they only use improvised coconut leaves as their baseball and used clothing as gloves. It doesn’t matter what they used as long as they were enjoying the game.

When I reached college, I remember my cousin signed up for a baseball team representing their school in different competitions. Sad to say they always lose. It frustrated him a lot that he quit the game altogether. Now in his 30’s, we thought that he would never touch baseball again until his eldest son showed his love for the sports.

Being a sports fan, he has no choice but to encourage his son in his interest in sports. And as a parent he needs to provide the best quality and safe equipments for his kid.

Good thing there are Baseball Gloves and baseball equipment that can be found at Franklin Sports. They carry the best equipment a young baseball player could have. With their top quality sports equipments you need not worry about kid’s safety and the equipment’s durability.

So go and get your kid a baseball gloves and equipment at Franklin Sports. Go to KidSportsInc.com and get the gloves that are comfortable and can help your kid feel more comfortable catching baseballs.

Are you an A-List Blogger?

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Kineda.com has a tool that will let you determine what type of blogger you are.

The Technorati widget she created computes your Bloglebrity status based on four influential groupings.

I checked mine. Here’s the result…

With 533 links in the last 180 days, Technorati places http://sasha-says.com in the very high authority group.

That makes you a A-List Blogger!

A-List Blogger

Yey!

The Very High Authority Group [A-List Bloggers]
(500 or more blogs linking in the last 6 months)
In the final group we see what might be considered the blogging elite. This group, which represents more than 4,000 blogs, exhibits a radical shift in post frequency as well as blog age. Bloggers of this type have been at it longer – a year and a half on average – and post nearly twice a day, an increase in posting volume of over 100% from the previous group. Many of the blogs in this category, in fact, are about as old as Technorati and we’ve grown up together. Some of these are full-fledge professional enterprises that post many, many times per day and behave increasingly like our friends in the mainstream media. As has been widely reported, the impact of these bloggers on our cultures and democracies is increasingly dramatic.

Want to know which group you belong to?

You can go to this link to check it. Let me know, okay? :)

You can also go to Janette Toral’s Philippines Bloglebrity A-List and B-List Bloggers compilation and have your blog included.

Happy weekend!

Athletic kid

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Most kids these days are into outdoor sports. And for me, I believe this is a good way of forming their self-discipline. I see my cousins running around the compound playing different games. I guess this is way better than being cooped up in the house and thinking of naughty things or pranks.

Baseball is a game that a couple of my little cousins love to play. You will hear them shouting, screaming ‘run!’ and talking about their game afterwards. They look so adorable, concentrating hard on their game, making sure they win it. But I noticed that they already need a change of baseball gloves.

Baseball Gloves can be purchased at KidSportsInc.com and they can choose from different colors that they offer there. What is great about these kid baseball gloves is that they offer microbial bacteria protection in the palm and finger lining to prevent common problems associated with sweaty hands on hot summer days. The design of gloves provides good air flow to keep fingers dry.

So if you are also looking for baseball gloves for your kids, you should check out KidSportsInc.com now and avail of these great kid gloves. Make sure your kids are protected from bacteria that they can get from wearing these gloves. Buy only gloves offered by Franklin Sports. Check out the site now for more information.
