Two things…

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
  • For the past two days now, I’ve been fixing bugs left by a hacking virus that I got from a friend’s blog. If you are seeing this message on a blog you are visiting, exit right away! It’s a virus that will infect not only your computer but your cpanel as well!

Warning: Unexpected character in input: ”’ (ASCII=39) state=1 in /home/****/public_html/****/index.php on line 23 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/****/public_html/****/index.php on line 23

Someone should kill those .ru sites!!! Those are the sites that are messing the codes in my index.php files making it inaccessible. And it keeps changing. I am asking for professional help to kill these pests!

  • So Entrecard just announced that they are “Reserving 15% Network Inventory for Sponsors”. Read the email already? I got the tweet and minutes later, I got an email announcing this. Does it mean that they will get 15% of our EC credits? Is that it?

Here’s the email from Cindy U.

We are pleased that many members are taking advantage of Entrecard services and that Entrecard is able to help users increase traffic to their blog. However in order to continue providing this free service, we will be taking 15% of our entire ad network inventory for sponsors as of Sept. 28, 09. This is a standard business model used by free advertising networks. The revenues generated by our sponsors will help cover overhead expenses and keep our service free to all our members for years to come. To keep things simple and fair, all ads will be distributed evenly in our network. We are currently working on a feature that will allow users to disable sponsor ads that may conflict with their blog. This will be available in a few weeks.

Please be assured that we will screen all sponsor ads to ensure that they meet our guidelines. All sponsor ads WILL be family oriented, and will not promote nudity, violence or anything illegal.

We thank you for your support and understanding. We will continue to make improvements to our network. Our goal is to deliver more traffic to your blog, increase your readers and comments, and let you network with other bloggers. We will focus on fine tuning every aspect of our business to ensure that our users are happy in the years ahead.

So what do you think, huh?

Suppressants

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I love kare-kare! When I see it, expect that I will eat a lot. Actually, when I know there’s a feast, my mind is conditioned that I will be eating more than I usually do. In these times, I need appetite suppressants. Otherwise, I will end up eating platefuls of food without even knowing it. Oh yes, I’m that bad when it comes to food. Sigh.

Keep the faith

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Keep the faith! That’s what I tell myself. I know that sooner or later, I will lose weight. If not from actually doing something about it, but from sheer belief of losing weight. Hahaha! I know that I can buy the best diet pill but I am afraid of wasting my money drinking and drinking when I know that I will be binging after :(

I need to find a strong resolve first and then weight loss will follow.

Distracting facial marks

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I’m busy looking for an acne treatment for someone close to me. She went to this camp and when she came back, she noticed a skin breakout. Now, it’s a full-blown acne already and she wants it treated right away. She works as a marketing manager for a medium-sized company and, of course, being presentable when facing the clients is a must.

I remember meeting a marketing director of a vendor I’ve dealt with in the past. It was really distracting, his facial marks. Pimple and acne scars and some other things going on his face. I tried ignoring it but, believe me, it was hard averting my gaze from his face. I was not being mean to the poor guy, just stating the truth.

Read the reviews first

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Before anything else, read the reviews first. If you are searching for the best usa online casino, might as well go for the top 10, right? And the top 10 sites are listed at Best USA Online Casinos.

Someone I know is a bit anti-social. He doesn’t like the party scene and would rather drink alone than be with his buddies. He’s been like that for over a year now for reasons only he knows. I know that he likes going online. In fact, he is the one who told me about the site I just mentioned. He read the review on each site and he liked Rushmore the best. I visited the site and I found out that rankings are based on reviews made on bonus, payout percentage, customer support, number of games, deposit options, and ease of use. The casino review on Golden Casino also shows why it is number 1 on their list.

Read the reviews first. You don’t want to waste your time and money on a site that does not suit you. Visit BestUSAOnlineCasinos.org now.

Blog traffic and incoming links

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

I must admit that when I don’t go EC dropping, my traffic goes down. I haven’t been active in other social networking sites where I get traffic before so I am left depending on EC for my traffic, plus some regular readers/visitors that are non-EC members.

So I was wondering, what’s the best source of traffic for your blog? Tell me about it here, whether the service has a fee or it’s free. If you have an affiliate commission from it, prove to me that you are actually getting enough traffic from it and I just might sign up ;)

Yes, I need traffic for this blog of mine. I need some incoming links as well. I just don’t want to force anyone to give it to me so might as well go for the directories and such. What do you think?

Happy weekend everyone!

Roses for mom

Friday, September 11th, 2009

I saw a red rose and it made me think of my mom. We haven’t visited my mom’s grave in months. We usually visit at least once every two or three months, more frequent when there are occasions like birthdays. But since the heavy rains kept pouring, we couldn’t go. The place near the graveyard is flooded almost all the time now. I am actually thinking of transferring my mom’s grave elsewhere…

My mom loved roses. I remember my dad bringing her a bunch whenever he felt like it. And on her birthday, their anniversary, Mother’s Day, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. They’re sweet that way. My mom loved those occasions a lot. It took little to make her happy when she was alive.

Can you tell by this post that I miss her? I do! There are days and nights when I am still wishing that’s she’s with us and she can see the improvement in our lives now. I miss mom.

Accidents do happen.

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

It was 1999 when we figured in a road accident. We still had our old car that time. My dad was driving fast when all of a sudden, the hood of the car went up. It hit the windshield hard. We were really shocked that it happened because my dad has this habit of double checking things before we go out of the house. Good thing the windshield didn’t break and that there was no car in front or at the back of our car. Otherwise, we would have hit another car for sure. An emergency assistance was instantly dispatched to us but another lucky break was nobody was harmed.

That accident taught my dad to drive more carefully, especially when there are kids on board. My brother was even sitting at the front passenger seat that time. Imagine his shock when it happened.

Lost and found

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

There are still people who are honest and trustworthy. A neighbor told my dad a story about his co-worker who gave back a pouch that has loose diamonds and some dollars in it. His co-worker found it in the elevator. He gave it back to the building administrator and the person who lost it was actually there when he was returning the pouch. The owner gave him $1,000 as reward. I can only imagine the value of the loose diamonds in the pouch.

Other people will be tempted. But there are still those who are honest enough to return items lost. Even valuables like that.

What do you think?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I have not been able to drop ECs for the past days. I apologize for that. I am sick and have been staying online to do work and then would log off right away to sleep my cough and cold off. To my droppers, I am returning drops as I write this entry.

I was just wondering, while dropping, if Entrecard is still any good in your opinion. Frequent downtime, declining advert clicks, bounce rate. In my case, I still get comments from first-time visitors or those who are not regular readers. Not much but I am already happy with what I get. Sadly, the advert clicks declined, as well as the organic clicks.

So what do you think, is EC still as good for you?

Capture it on film

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Special occasions are normally captured either through photos or film/video. An old family friend always makes sure that their family reunions, held yearly during Christmas, captured on film. They really hire professionals to capture candid moments during their reunions. I know that now, they want to hire professionals who can do film transfer. High-quality film transfer, to be exact.

Video Conversion Experts can transfer 8mm film to DVD format. No need to worry about the quality of the transfer because they can assure you it would be like watching a movie in DVD. That’s how good they are at what they do. Or if you want, they can preserve your old films for you. As if putting it in their original state. If the film quality is already grainy, they can fix that.

You can’t capture a moment gone ever again. You can re-enact it. But it would never be the same. So better make sure you capture it on film. Or if you already did and you are afraid the film won’t live that long anymore, better get the services of Video Conversion Experts and then have them transfer the film to another format. An 8mm to DVD or to VCD, you choose. Visit them at VideoConversionExperts.com now.
