Shen has been my friend for over 15 years now. We became classmates in second year high school. We became friends, a part of a big group actually. We’re still friends until now. Hopefully for the rest of our lives.

Plans

I had a chance to chat with my girl friends, Che, Jing and Shen last April 29, after Tim’s wedding reception at the Coconut Palace. We were catching up on the events in each other’s lives and it was fun.

Che is now a registered nurse working at the Orthopedic Hospital. Her husband is working as well and their son, Von, is now 6 years old. Che is working so hard because her mother in law will finance her application to the US after a year. Che has a soft spot for the elderly. And she’ll be a very good nurse for those people because she’s naturally a caring person.

Jing is now working for Samsung Electronics. This girl has two kids already and you wouldn’t even believe it! She’s so sexy and fab!

Shen, on the other hand, has been my topic in this post.

We all chatted the night away at Coffee Bean in Banawe. We waited for Che to get off her shift and we went our way past 1am.

It’s always fun to spend time with close friends, especially with your barkada.

Something New (again)

I have changed my theme again. I have been told by some blogger-friends of mine that my previous theme crashes in IE after a few seconds of loading. I don’t know what’s the problem and I don’t want to look for it so I decided to change themes instead.

Same header, though.

We thought it’s Father’s Day tomorrow and my siblings and I prepared for it already. My dad told us it is on the 17th! Hahaha, pahiya pa tuloy kami!

Extra Income

A lot of bloggers are into get paid to blog programs. Some programs are really great, pays you what is due you and will evaluate your posts fairly, while some would just like to use bloggers to increase traffic to their website, promising extra income but delivering nothing.

A lot of these programs are actually asking you to compete with other bloggers in getting an opportunity. And mind you, it’s stressful. You also get so frustrated and disappointed when you see a high-priced opportunity is already taken. It sucks!

What I love about the other ones, those that are sending the assignments or giving you directly the reviews that you’re qualified for, is that you need not compete with fellow bloggers for a single review. At least all you need to think of is writing that post and making sure you submit it before the deadline set.

And is it worth it? All the hassles in earning a little money from these online activities?

Yes, it is worth it.

Do you notice how some people will look at you like as if you’re not supposed to walk the earth? Have you experienced that already?

I did. On several occasions.

Makes you want to strangle that person and crumple her face! Course, she’ll need afterwards. Hehehe

I just mentioned this because I have an officemate who stares at you like that. Feels as if she owns the whole place and you don’t have the right to walk in front of her. Thank God I won’t see her after tomorrow!

I’ll be starting something new by Monday…

Girl talk…

I have a lot of younger female cousins on my father’s side of the family. You wouldn’t believe how fast these kids grow up! One day you’re taking care of them and making sure they don’t get hurt from all those horsing around; then the next time you see them, they’re all teenagers acting like adults already! Time flies so fast.

A cousin, Stephie, was asking about prom information from me. Unfortunately, I never really had a prom. I attended once because I got invited and all. But our school never really had one.

Good thing we have other cousins, older than I am, who can tell her everything she needs to know about proms.

- I’d have to say a 10. My last name is a very common surname here in the Philippines. This is how common my surname is… when I took the board examinations for Certified Public Accountants in October 1999, there were 6 classrooms with the same surname as mine!Salad:
Who is your all-time favorite sitcom character, and why?
- It would probably be Phoebe of FRIENDS. I like how simple her life is and how she takes things in stride.

Do you shop online? If so, name some sites you like to browse for goodies.
- I don’t really shop online. But when I do check for some things, like check out shop branches, locations and the like, I go to Click the City. For goodies, the ever reliable Amazon.com. But those are just for items I ask my friend to buy for me.

- I think this site should be updated for than twice a week. I have been too busy these past few days but I have a lot to tell you guys. I will try to write it this weekend and just schedule posting it.

Ocean’s Thirteen and PMS

I am so lazy for the past 3 days now. I can’t think properly and I’m always craving for something sweet or salty. Yesterday, my lunch consisted of a chocolate bar. Last night, I was craving for Yakisoba. This morning, I was thinking of champorado with lots of milk. PMSy, I know.

I am very excited to watch Ocean’s Thirteen! I love George Clooney! And Matt Damon! It’s raining men in that movie! Hehehe… Who’d come with me ha?

1. If someone would offer to pay a cooking class for you, what would that class be?
Hmm… tough first question! I am not really fond of cooking but I love watching cooking shows! Hehe… Chase, I am definitely interested with that video cooking show of yours.

But to answer the question, I would join a Spanish cuisine class.

2. What type of person would be interested in reading your blog?
Someone who loves life, is a newbie in monetizing their blogs, and is out for some fun and making new friends through blogging.

3. What is the weirdest experience have you encountered as a blogger?
Being so mad at a fellow blogger for being so @$#%! I am not like that at all, online or offline. There’s just something about that blogger that ticked me off!

4. Do you envision yourself blogging 5 years from now. Why or why not?
Yes, I can see myself blogging 5 years from now. Blogging is already a part of my life. It’s like a part of me already and going without it is unthinkable. Besides, this is my way of ‘de-cluttering’ my mind, reducing stress, getting away from accounting and having fun meeting new friends!

5. If you had the opportunity to meet one showbiz celebrity that you admire the most in the world, who would that person be? Why?
Oprah! I would love to know what makes her tick. It would be good to talk to her about her book club, Angel network, Harpo and her personal life.

I met with fellow bloggers at Gerry’s Grill this afternoon for a lunch of some getting-to-know-you and fun.

Tatay Schumey, Arbet, Masterbetong, Kneeko (aha! inay di ko nabatukan! hehe), ate Melai and kuya Vince. ‘Twas a lotta fun! Talking to these people made me realize something… I know so little! Hahaha… Especially with the first three. Wow, tatay! It was really great listening to everything you’ve said. And tay, notice you’re the only one without your own domain? Get one na! Haha

So glad to have finally met you all!
