I always look at what is the latest happening on the web. I believe it is best for someone like me who’s taking steps to become a pro blogger to be updated on what’s hot on the web, what is everyone talking about and what is the latest trend in improving one’s site rank.

Another way is through visiting other blogs and leaving sensible comments. In the long run, this will translate to a back link. And a number of visited blogs that will follow you will translate to a good traffic. Another and probably the most popular way of link building is the Alexa train. A blogger started this one wherein he/she chose 5 bloggers whom he/she thought needed a link love. And then those 5 chose 5 each and so on. I have seen numerous Technorati link backs of this site through the Alexa train. And it is still making the rounds of the blogosphere.
