Reader’s Digest Foundation has embarked on a new initiative wherein they will be giving away $1 million to nonprofit organizations. But there’s a catch. They will be giving the money away within ten months. Each month, the foundation will donate $100,000 to any organization that is featured or associated in an inspiring story submitted by the public. The story that will be picked needs to serve as an inspiration to others.

I am a subscriber of Reader’s Digest. I love reading inspiring stories of real people, modern-day heroes. I remember reading one article about a person saving a girl’s life and it truly inspired me to do something good to someone since then.

That is the goal of Reader’s Digest Foundation. Inspiring stories would mean a donation to an organization for a good cause.
