Job loss…

I’ve been reading PerezHilton.com and I saw his several posts on laying off hundreds of employees at MTV, NBC, and so many other media companies. Worse, AT&T is reportedly cutting off 12,000 jobs (roughly 4% of their staff). Oh when will this end?

I know most of us have found ourselves without a job at one point in our lives. It’s hard. Finding that new job, even if you have the right skills and experience, is twice as hard as coping with the loss of a job. Let’s just hope these people will have something to tide them over until they get a new job.

Wordpress exploit

I was not able to post anything this past weekend because of the stupid Wordpress exploit that happened to most of my blogs. I had to remove the installation and start fresh. I don’t want to simply upgrade the Wordpress version I am using. I want to make sure that I got rid of whatever bugs that exploit did to my php files. Thank goodness the only thing on my to-do list last weekend was to check a truck rental that my dad asked me to. Other than that, I devoted my free time to fixing the issues with the remv.php file that Bluehost told me about.

Referred

Contrary to what my relatives think, I don’t know everything that has finance in it. Like a commercial real estate transaction. A relative entered into one and is asking for my advise. I told them that I am not the one they should consult with because I am not familiar with commercial real estate at all. I referred them to a friend of mine who can be considered an expert in that field.
