A beacon during emergencies
Exit Signs. These signs are very important. I kept reminding my sister who works in Makati at a high-rise building to always check where the fire exits are on their floor and check if each door works. I encountered an old building where I had an interview in the past that had faulty fire exits. I swear if there’s an emergency, you will die not from it but from exertion on opening the door leading to the stairs. I was asked to go one floor down their other office so I opted to use the fire exit instead of waiting for a long time for the elevator. Good thing I did. I found out their faulty door. I reported it to the building administration before going home.
I told them that they should check their fire exits and should post Photoluminescent Exit Signs rather than the cardboard-looking ones they had. Hopefully, they listened. The building would be a death trap if the doors were not checked. And the exit signs that I told them about? It should look like a beacon during emergencies. Unlike the ones they had.
ExitSigns.net has a wide selection of exit signs that buildings could use. They offer Self Luminous Exit Signs, Thermoplastic LED Combo with MR16 Lamp Heads, Non Electrical Exit Signs, and many more. Go to their web site now and check out their selection. I should call the building administrator and tell them about Exit Signs. I really hope they did something about their faulty fire exit doors.
