A tribute

Leila and her siblings are preparing a tribute to their parents. The couple is celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next month and the siblings are planning a really big celebration for it. They are starting with transferring the video coverage of their parents’ wedding from 8mm film to DVD. The audio-visual presentation that they will show on the celebration will be composed of their parents’ love story, messages from them as well as from their relatives and close friends. They are also preparing some performances of their parents’ favorite songs by family and friends accompanied by a quartet that they already contracted to play for the event.

I can already picture in my mind the smiles of Leila’s parents. I have known them since I was a small kid. They are good people who genuinely love each other. They have done their best to raise their kids as good citizens of the country. They worked hard to give Leila and her siblings a good education and a comfortable life. You can say that they are the ideal parents. I have never heard them raise their voices, and they live right next door so I can surely hear them when they do. They love their kids and I’ve seen them express it through words and actions over the years.

They are inviting a few neighbors that they are close to. Of course, my family and I are invited. We are actually excited to attend the celebration because aside from the fact that they are friends, you also never see every day that couples celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I am most excited about the audio-visual presentation. I just know Leila and their siblings will go all out for it. A tribute fitting for a couple as lovely as their parents. Can’t wait to witness it!
