Printed receipts

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

It is a habit of mine and some members of my family to keep the receipts of items we purchased. It is a safety precaution for us if and when the item we purchased turned out to be defective. That’s why I was annoyed at a store I went to where the receipt printer was not functioning properly. I was not able to get a printed receipt for the item I purchased. Good thing the item was a pair of slippers only.

Do you keep your receipts? Lately, I’ve noticed that instead of giving you a warranty card, department stores, particularly SM, has been asking you to just keep the receipt as warranty. If you need to keep the receipt, make a copy of it so that even if the print on the receipt fades, you still have something to show when you need to.
