Temporary shelter

About a year or so ago, flood destroyed so many houses in the city. 90% of the city was submerged in water and families had no option but to leave their homes. Those strong enough to withstand and high enough not to be submerged in flood like an arch steel building a couple of blocks away became a temporary shelter for those displaced. It was heart wrenching to see a lot of families suffering during that time.

But one positive thing that came out of that disaster? The care and concerted effort shown by each and every one of our fellowmen. The spirit of being one came out during that time that those who were lucky enough not to have been affected by the flood spearheaded campaigns to help out the victims. Big and small companies went out of their way to donate whatever they can. You could feel the spirit of community so strong that time that you couldn’t help but be in awe of it.
