I always believe that you will be rewarded if you give your best in whatever you do. It doesn’t matter if someone sees you while you are doing your work, or nobody sees you do it. As long as you are doing your best, eventually, someone will notice it and you will be rewarded for it! The reward can be monetary, or it can be a lifetime of praises from those who matter with the image you have built through your work.

I also believe that in order to give your best, you should continually hone your skills through trainings, seminars, and further education. Knowledge of a certain skill can become obsolete when new technology or theories are taught. You should be at par with the newly graduates by knowing what is new in your field. It’s the same with every industry.

A good friend of mine bought new lace pickups for guitar lessons he will be attending this coming weekend. He is a great guitar player already but he wants to learn new techniques so he enrolled himself in a refresher course taken mostly by newbies. His idea is there is always something new to learn when he is in a group of either new or old music artists like himself.

And it’s true! Learning is a cycle and we can pick up new ideas when we have the discipline and the drive to enhance our skills further.
