Oh, So Sick!

If you’ve noticed I’ve taken a brief hiatus from blogging lately and that is because I feel quite ill. I’ve got an unexplainable pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen and the doctors can’t explain what’s causing it. I’ve been to my gynecologist to have a look at on my ovaries but everything is fine according to her. I’ve undergone ultrasound too but as you’ve guessed it nothing is wrong. My liver, gall bladder, kidneys and spleen are all satisfactory. I even went to a gastroenterologist and he said that he can’t seem to find anything unusual with me. I’m insisting on a gastroscopy (examination of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum using an endoscope) but he refused saying that per his initial diagnosis, I might just be suffering from myalgia or simply put pain in my abdominal muscles. Three different doctors from different hospitals telling me not to worry about anything but my heart is telling me otherwise. How come that I’ve been feeling this pain for almost two months now and it does not go away? It may not be excruciating or unbearable but the fact that I’m feeling pain indicates that there is something wrong with me. My body tells me that this pain should not be taken for granted but what am I to do? These people are experts in their fields and licensed to tell people if there’s something to be bothered about or there’s none. I don’t know if I shall continue to seek help from other doctors or just heed their advice to stop being a worry-wart, relax and just ignore whatever it is that I’m feeling. I’ve been praying every day that the doctors are right and nothing’s the matter with me. Maybe it’s just all in my head or is it?
If you consulted 3 doctors and the three told you that you should worry it’s probable that it isn’t very serious. But, pain is pain and if it continues to hurt you should pay attention.
Take care.
… should not…
@Jorge. Thank you Jorge for the advice. You’re right, this is probably nothing and just psychological. Well, I hope to God it is. Thanks for always visiting my blog. Take care too!
