Always on alert
By Sasha on Feb 13, 2011 in Brain wave
I keep telling my siblings to be always on alert when they are outside the house. We all know what’s happening around now. Crimes left and right! A couple of nights ago, a friend of mine was almost robbed of her belongings. Thanks to her alertness, she saw at the corner of her eye that a man was following her and in the act of snatching her bag, she immediately went inside a well-lit canteen to escape the man. If not for that, her belongings would have been lost to the snatcher that night.
It is in these instances when I am reminded to get my siblings a utility knife. They can’t carry a real knife because of the security systems in place in the metro rail and their offices/schools. But a utility knife can pass off as something that is handy for a person to use for opening boxes and stuff. It can be used as a security of some sort. And pepper sprays!
Be on alert always! It’s the best way to survive these days.
