The name Joshua tree was given by a band of Mormons who crossed the Mojave Desert in the mid-19th century. The tree’s unique shape reminded them of a Biblical story in which Joshua reaches his hands up to the sky.

This is what I felt when I lost our first baby Joshua to miscarriage. I’ve reached my hands up to the heavens and said “If it is Your will my Lord, Your will be done.”

I am a renaissance woman. I died a long time ago but came back to give birth to ideas, to give wings to vision and to bring thoughts back to life. I’m free spirited; I flow like the water from a river who knows by heart where it is leading to. I know the trees secret dance, I know the winds sacred song, and I know the creatures’ magical rituals. I am an off-spring of nature. I am the spawn of a beautiful mind. I am the queen of my own private cosmos.
