November 29th, 2007Two Hearts

Yes, I have two hearts right now. One is beating for me. The other one is my baby’s! Amazing, isn’t it? Two lives inside one body. I am having the best experience having my baby inside my womb! I cannot wait for it to move. Sometimes our likes may not be the same when it comes to food choices. But my child’s wish is my command or else I’ll be spending my entire day puking! So now I’m officially my child’s slave and such a slave driver my baby is, LOL. Who says I’m complaining? I’m very happy to serve my baby.

November 29th, 2007Apple Seed with a Heart

Last Monday we went to the ob-gyne for my pre-natal check-up. We waited there for about an hour and a half. While waiting scary thoughts again flooded my mind. The last time that I was there wasn’t good news; it was heartbreakingly painful when the doctor had confirmed my suspicion that I had lost our baby and that was July. And now after just four months here I am in the same hospital but with a different OB hoping for some happy news. My previous pregnancy was blighted. Meaning there was no embryo that has been formed but there’s a gestational sac, a lonely empty sac. When my doctor finally arrived, she motioned me to the room where they will be performing trans-v on me. I was lying down and the doctor was preparing the instrument, I was reciting a silent prayer, “Please Lord God don’t let it be another hollow space.” I don’t want to go on staring on the monitor again and see nothing. My heart beat rate was shooting up the ceiling, my hands were quite clammy and my voice was trembling when I’ve asked the doctor if something’s amiss. She paused for awhile, looked at me and a smile slowly formed on her lips and it finally brightened her entire face. And that’s when I knew that my baby is there this time. That was just I needed to see to allay all my fears. She magnified the screen for me to have a closer look at my baby. The doctor said that it’s still small as an apple seed. While I was looking at my child, something was moving. I got alarmed and asked my doctor what it is and she laughed and said that it’s my baby’s heart. A heart, I’ve exclaimed! My baby’s got a heart and its beating! Tears of joy welled up and streamed down my face. God is so amazing! How can something as small as an apple seed be with a beating heart already?

I was so elated! Seeing my baby alive inside of me and whenever my heart beats its heart does too. It’s like everything all of a sudden became larger than life. This is real but almost surreal. I’m a mom! And we’re going to be parents! I can’t wait to see my child and hold it in my arms. And watch it squiggle, yawn, blink its eyes, open its mouth, grab my finger, make a fist at me and many more. He or she will look so fragile and helpless in my arms and might feel a little afraid with its new environment but I’ll whisper to him/her these words “This would be the first and last time that you’ll ever be afraid of anything my child. Mommy’s going to protect you and take good care of you. And you don’t even have to call on Mommy anymore because I will stay with you and stand by you for as long as you need me. I will love you my dearest baby even after I cease breathing.”

November 29th, 2007Bizarre Cravings

I’ve got my first dose of cravings or “paglilihi” in Filipino. The first time that I’ve experienced it was at 3 in the morning. I woke up all sweaty and so hungry. I can practically hear my stomach growling and it felt like a monster was clawing its way out my stomach. I’m not exaggerating at all. Even I was quite surprised why I’m shivering and it seems like I haven’t eaten in days! I woke up hubby and he sat up with half closed eyes and asked me what I wanted. I said I want rice and Chicken Tinola w/ Papaya and Chili leaves and not Sayote with Malunggay. He then asked me to repeat what I just have said because he might have heard me incorrectly. When finally it sank into his still soporific mind, he said “Are you trying to be funny, baby? It’s 3 am and where on Earth will I buy a readily cooked Chicken Tinola? Even if I go out now, there’s no way that I’d be able to bring home one to you. And if I’ll try to cook it for you, how will I be able to get Papaya and Chili leaves at this ungodly hour?” And hubby broke into a litany of reasons why it’s impossible for me to eat what I want at 3 am. I said, “Well okay, enough with your blabbering already go and fix me up something because I feel like I’m losing my mind with too much hunger.” Since we weren’t really prepared for this, all he got was saltine crackers and a cup of hot cocoa. I tried eating and drinking it but I threw it all up. We were very much awake the entire night and waited for the sun to come out so we can ask our nanny to buy the ingredients needed for making Chicken Tinola. I ended up cooking it all by myself but I didn’t care. What mattered was that I still got to eat what I wanted. It was a happy day after all.

November 29th, 2007Chillow Pillow

Everyone values a good night sleep. That is why our bed should be comfortable enough. Sometimes when the environment becomes humid, it disturbs our sleep

November 29th, 2007Me in my bestfriend’s eyes

I would like to share with you what my bestfriend for almost 13 years wrote for her testimonial to me on my Friendster account. Such a sweetie! Miss u Bes! And I love you too!

“They say a friend is the one who holds the mirror of life, so you can see yourself more clearly…But with Tim it’s a different story coz she’s the one who holds the brush! Timmanggoy as I fondly call her is a one of a kind friend. Unique, special and wonderful. When I first met her way back college days, she looked like an angel sent from the heavens above, but lo and behold! Behind the sweet image was a rocker chick and the complete oxymoron! But to me she’s a dear friend and a sister who’ve been there through good times and the worst of times. I can’t really describe exactly how we click coz we’re the exact opposite of each other. With us the cliche, “Opposites attract” holds true, but I guess that makes our friendship rock. Sis, I just want to thank you for all the things you’ve done for me and for simply being there. Im just so blessed to have you for a friend and for holding that mirror of my life. I love yah sis!”

Blogging Stuff

Published by snippets at under meme

I was tagged by Maiylah and here goes nothing…

1. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging July of last year. My blog’s name then was Dances with Fairies. Ever since I was a kid I always believed in them so I dedicated that blog to the fairies of the world.

2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
I wanted to have a journal of my life but then unlike diaries, I get to know other people’s views about the stuff that I write and they get to learn a thing or two from me too. It’s a two way street. We both end up learning from each other. My mentor is my friend of 15 years Sasha.

3. Are you trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
Writing has always been my passion and I wanted to have an outlet to the overflowing ideas in my mind. It’s getting cramped in my head and it has to come out sometime. Then a friend of mine, introduced me to get paid to blog programs and the rest is history! LOL! I have the best of both worlds, I get to write which is what I really love doing and I’m getting paid for it! I win either way!

4. Tell me 3 things you LOVE about being online.
Keeping in touch with old friends that are across the miles, getting more closer to friends that are already near and making new friends in the blogosphere.

5. Tell me 3 things you STRUGGLE within the online world.
Writing personal posts if I’m too swamped with paid advertisements, visiting my online neighbors’ blogs from time to time and I’m still not used to destructive criticisms from spammers. Maybe in time I will.

November 29th, 2007Care For a Lift?

Flat screen boob tubes are so last year. Plasma TV is so in! It’s a guaranteed space saver yet very sophisticated.

If you still remember, I’m planning to get one for my hubby. And guess what? I already found a sleek one. When it’s delivered, I will be needing a tv lift that would give justice to its beauty. The one that will match its sophistication but will ensure its safety, of course.

While surfing the net, I found a store that specializes in providing self-raising/self-lowering console. I contacted them immediately and found out that installation of that console is as easy as 1-2-3 and the best part is it is sold at unbeatable low cost.

This is the best match to my husband’s Plasma TV.

November 29th, 2007My Crowning Glory

While men can talk about it openly yet less seriously than the tabloid’s headlines, women are also suffering from hair loss.

The secret must come out in the open. Although us women are fortunate that we have means of concealing it through different hairstyles, we should address the problem before it gets blown out of proportion. My hair is basically thick but the number of hair trapped in my hairbrush or left on my pillow as I rise from bed is no laughing matter. I don’t’ want to lose my crowning glory!

So I asked around and my curiosity led me to hair loss forum. There, I learned that the hair loss problem of women should be addressed differently from men’s since the causes are different.

Good thing Provillus Hair Loss Treatment understands this. It has different healthy hair supports for men and woman. The product is so effective that they have money back guarantee. I already ordered online so I could avail of the 2-free month supply.

You wouldn’t want to avert one’s gaze out of shame, would you?
