Shed it off.

Are you a diet-conscious person? We have many cases of anorexic and bolimic people in our society because those people think that any food they take might make them look fat. But it is an unhealthy way to be slim. Remember that not all thin people are healthy and free from sickness. The same goes to fat people. The best way to have proper diet is to eat healthy and balanced foods everyday, plus exercise to burn the extra calories in our body. You might want to check out Myfitnesspal (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/), a free diet and fitness website which allows anyone to watch and monitor their diet. They have this free calorie counter which computes the calories which you have burned from exercising for FREE. They will help you understand better the nutrients you get from foods you eat, and eventually they will teach you how to make better food choices. Sign-up now and get fit.

Happy Hearts Day!

I love Malate! I love my home-grown town!
Nothing beats the original. The best.

There was a street party last night so I had a chance to have a night life. It’s a pre-Valentine celebration for me and my good friend. LJC (a Spanish and the owner of Cafe Havana, Bistro Remedios, Cafe Adriatico, Malate Pensionne, and other restos near the Remedios Circle) had Cafe Havana and Africana renovated.

Africana = Mulatto. Mulatto is exclusive for members only, mind you!

So, we ordered Mojito,a Cuban cocktail drink, and went out to watch the performance on stage. The performer that time was Guarana where Aileen Santos is the singer. She’s so damn hot! She was dancing to the rhythms of her song, and was shaking her butt ala-Beyonce. There were belly dancers, too, featuring Ms. Lala Dinglasan. Ooh, I love the way they grind their body. Reminds me of Shakira — Shakira! Haha.

Well, all in all, the night was filled with Bossa Nova, Samba, Reggae music! It was fun, fun, FUN! People weren’t dancing so I wasn’t able to dance the night away. Boo. We’re planning to watch the Bossa Nova concert in Philippine Plaza this Saturday (Guarana, Sofia will be there) but the ticket price is out of our budget (almost 3k) so we decided to go to Greenbelt this coming Friday. We’re gonna bring the house down! Yey! So excited. :)

post-which-I’ve-grabbed-from-Karen

Read her entry, the subject: Masquerade! Paper faces on parade… please. I’m too tired to post anything for now. Anyway she had mentioned everything I want to say. She even uploaded our pix.

Cheers for our post-Christmas party bonding! The cake from Los Ba?os was good!

Octo - ber - ish

Tomorrow is gonna be the last day in October, and the next day would be the first day in November. Time really flies. Christmas is fast approaching. Malls will be filled with different people and children would be singing Christmas carols. Anyway, I’m gonna talk about the my October month-long.

It’s a tradition for us to celebrate the opening of this month with flowing beers. Kahit saan ka magpuntang bars or even malls, they held the Oktoberfest weekly, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. And since I’m avoiding crowded places as much as I can, me and my friends celebrated it in Junnell’s place. We bought beer in cans, and “my very own” Vodka Ice!

Then, a week after, I was invited by my friend to a party at the Fort. I had no idea what kind of party is it so as soon as we reached the place, I knew then that it was a stag party, and sponsored by Jagermeister. Cool! It was my first time and I did enjoyed it. The place was overflowing with free drinks and foods. Pretty (and sexy) girls swarm all over the place and guys of different nationalities (Indian, American, etc) were there, too. Expect a weird smell from them. Haha.

I also have an almost-weekly meeting with my friends. We would hang out together, dine in a restaurant (take note: not just a fast food! That’s how extravagant they are. Kidding.), share our stories, and everything.

So far, I’ve mentioned my activities this month.

Aside from the Oktoberfest, this month is also the Month of the Holy Rosary. I remember way back in high school / elementary, since I studied in a private sectarian school, we would pray the rosary every morning. Not really the whole rosary but I think just the first 2 decades. Then during recess or lunch break, we would continue praying 1 more decade. And if we do have a vacant period, we would finish praying the remaining decades. And we do not only pray the rosary every month of October. We also do that when we go out on a field trip / educational trip, outings, or even when we (our whole class) would go to another place (even if it’s only in Quezon City!). That’s how religious we are.

Halloween’s coming up. Last Saturday, our streets were crowded with people dressed in their halloween costume. They look cute and terrible at the same time. Haha. I wish our place had a trick-or-treat. I never experienced it. Har har.

On other news, I want to say CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to my friends in college. They graduated this morning. Cheers to you all! See you later, guys! Another reason to celebrate life! Yey!

Consistent Chismax

At last, my own set of clowns showed up yesterday — my dearest friends. We had dinner at Don Henrico’s last night to celebrate Champoy’s 22nd Birthday. (Geez, he’s getting older na.) We ordered FOOD (plenty of it) and ate like there’s no tomorrow. I was so happy ‘coz we really kept our word that “we’ll keep in touch always”. Hope that it would last for a very, very looooonnngggg time (till the end of time). I’m getting cheesy here.

Anyway, I had a dose of Champoy’s jokes and tons of laugh from Mushu. It gave me a good feeling though I had to endure the smell of my fart later. Haha.

I’m recommending you, guys, to order Choco Mousse Dome Cake in Don Henrico’s. It’s absolutely worth paying the price. Promise. Gonna post the pix here soon.

And pls don’t order Molo in Gerry’s Grill. I was a bit disappointed with the way they cooked it. ‘Coz I was expecting a Chinese-like way of cooking. *sob Besides, it was oily (mamantika) and not thick (hindi malapot).

Here’s a not-so-related story.

We were discussing different things yesterday and we landed on a certain topic. It’s actually showbiz. haha. Do you know Mo Twister? He’s a dj in Magic 89.9 and i heard that he has many enemies right now because of his tactlessness in his radio program.

One time, his guest over the radio was Troy Montero.

DJ MO: Who’s better in bed? Cher Calvin or Nikki Valdez?
TROY: Cher.
DJ MO: Who do you consider gay in show business?
TROY: German Moreno.

He also had Jay-R (local RnB singer) in his program.

DJ MO: Who among the local celebs do you consider gay?
JAY-R: …
DJ MO: Raymond Gutierrez?
JAY-R: Yes, Raymond Gutierrez.

Hahaha. I can’t help but laugh. Hahaha.
Ok, enough of this. I look stupid, I know.
