Melancholy and Josh Groban
As you very well know by now, I get sentimental easily. A song, a written note from long ago, even a cup of coffee or the smell of grass or an old book, it brings back a surge of longing for something, someone… And then I get sentimental. Before I know it, I am crying already because it just came to me that I miss this person. Or that a song reminded me of the good old days. And I miss the good old days…
Lately, something triggered this sadness… after each laughter, may kurot. It’s probably due to the fact that my mom’s death anniversary is coming up, or that I saw something in Friendster (darn that site!) or I heard that Josh Groban song again…
By the way, Josh Groban is coming to the Philippines for a concert. I really would love to watch it. I’m a big fan! But the ticket prices are way too expensive for me. Imagine the lowest price is P3,000 and for VIP seats it’s a whopping P20,000! Goodness! Sayang sa pera! Nakakahinayang lang because I know it’ll be a long time before he comes back again. It is during times like this that I miss having a boyfriend. Libre sana! Hahahah…
Also, I get hurt easily these days. Hay ewan ko ba… Thank God inay and itay are there daily

I will cut my hair really short tomorrow. It just occurred to me that I haven’t done anything with my curly hair for months now. No trips to the salon for a hot oil, hair spa… no nothing. Kayo girls, how often to you go to the salon for the hair rituals?

10 oral hygiene tips usually taken for granted, part2
Continuation…
5. Rinse and gargle with antibacterial mouthwash. Mouthwashes, when used in conjunction with a regimen of effective tongue cleaning, tooth brushing and flossing plays a vital role in the treatment of bad breath. The effectiveness of a particular mouthwash defends on its possessing antibacterial properties. If a mouthwash can help to decrease the concentration of bacteria-produced volatile sulfur compounds in a person’s breath, then the more pleasant that person’s breath will be.
6. Use appropriate toothpaste. In most cases it is the malo dorous volatile sulfur compounds produced by anaerobic bacteria that are the actual cause of a person’s breath problems. Using a toothpaste that contains neutralizing agents such as chlorine dioxide or zinc can help to alleviate these problems. If the toothpaste you are using contains antibacterial agents such as chlorine dioxide or cetylpyridinium chloride, you will both dislodge and kill odor-causing bacteria.
10 oral hygiene tips usually taken for granted
A lot of people think that they can be authorities in taking care of their teeth. How many of you do actually practice good dental hygiene? Below are some simple dental hygiene practices we often take for granted:
1. Do floss. Flossing is one of the most essential practices anyone should do. It is the best initial cleaning for your teeth and gums. The proper “C-shape” up and down motion of the wax strip or tape is just integral to get rid of small debris left in between the tooth and gums after a meal. As you develop this into a habit (may not be that easy to clear the debris for the first time), your teeth and gums will definitely become stronger. Without flossing, brushing your teeth is sub-optimal and may even be deemed useless. Floss after every meal, before brushing your teeth. There are even new inexpensive electric flossers (WaterPik) that make flossing almost effortless.
2. Brush your teeth properly. Be sure to brush gently and thoroughly with a circular motion. We suggest you use a soft bristled toothbrush held at a 45-degree angle to clean between your gum and teeth. Your toothpaste should have fluoride, which will kill bacteria and fight cavities. The fluoride actually takes time to effect and is absorbed by the tooth at least 2 minutes. That simply means we have to brush our teeth at least two minutes with toothpaste every time. Be sure to have full coverage of toothpaste over your teeth before even starting to brush them. Give 30 seconds for one quadrant before moving on to the next one. Brush your teeth with toothpaste at least two to three times a day or ideally after meals.
