I am currently watching the entertainment talk show The Buzz. Host Boy Abunda is interviewing Sharon Cuneta about the issue surrounding her Marie France billboard advertisement. This is the said billboard that is getting so much flak now…
The Sharon Cuneta Marie France billboard with the “before” and “after” shots of her is getting so much attention because people are saying that it is misleading. The photo above of the “after” shot is thinner than the Sharon that everyone sees on TV. Here she was in her press conference for the Marie France weight loss endorsement…
It’s obvious that there’s a ‘manipulation’ done on the photo of the “after” shot if you look at her photo from the press con. There were rumors that the billboard which can be found along EDSA would be taken down due to the violation on Truth in Advertising. But Marie France was quick to deny the rumors. They even went so far as to say that there wasn’t any manipulation (read: photoshop) done on the “after” shot of Sharon in the billboard. But can someone please explain the obvious difference between Sharon the “after” shot versus Sharon on TV now?!?
Sharon said on The Buzz that her credibility would speak for itself. The billboard was truthful. But she couldn’t explain clearly why she looked thinner on the “after” shot than her body size on TV.
I am wondering then… where’s the truth in that?!?
I think it’s not all about photoshop but they change her physical appearance. Tingnan mo buhok nya sa 1st pic, you can see most of her face whereas sa 2nd pic, ang gitna lang. It looks smaller talaga if you use your hair to cover some parts of your face.
Ang blouse naman. Medyo malaki at inipit nya yung arms. You look fat if the collar is round too. 2nd pic, she looks smaller talaga dahil v-cut ang collar. Naka spread din ang arms. Black belt at manipis…of course nakaka slim.
Nasa photographer din yan. They know what to do kung mataba ang subject nila.
@Raquel: Manay, yung “after” shot nya yan hitsura nya nung pumayat sya dati. I think it’s manipulated talaga kasi look at her shoulders alone. And kapag nakita mo sya sa TV, she’s probably 2 sizes bigger than that “after” shot.
