Power outage

I am telling my dad that we also should have a honda generator ready should there be a power outage that lasts a long time. Our neighbor has one and during that power outage that lasted three days, they were able to use it and live just as if it’s a normal day and there’s no raging storm going on.
There are advantages and disadvantages to a power outage. Since there is nothing to do during one, no internet, no tv, no CD player, there’s time to talk to everyone at home or read books piling up or catch up on sleep. But, of course, if you are working at home like me, it is a lot of hassle and a big work interruption.
