There are scientists doing research on regulatory t cells so they can find a real cure for cancer. I guess when the time comes that there are medicines and procedures to stop the progress of cancer in the body, then chemotherapy and radiation will not be the only options left for the patient.
You know, when a person gets diagnosed with cancer, the first step recommended is chemotherapy. I think it is still the best way to cure cancer. For now. But those of us who watched loved ones suffer from one chemo to another will have to attest to the fact that it doesn’t really cure. It actually slowly kills the patient. I know because I’ve seen it happen to my younger brother. For now, it’s chemotherapy, radiation and some other drastic measures being done by doctors.
