I had a really fun weekend before Xmas because my nephews, youngest brother and my sister-in-law were all here. They stayed with us for a few days and left on the morning of the 26th already. I’ve asked them to do the last batch of my Christmas shopping since I’m still wasn’t allowed to leave the bed during those times. I’m done purchasing gifts for my family and closest friends via online. Thank God, internet was invented! I just gave them the list, my ATM and gave them full discretion on what to buy. I just provided them with a short info about the person. Like gender, age and possible gift that the person might like.
They left early morning of the 23rd that was Sunday and came back late at night already. I guess a lot of people thought of shopping that day too. They were so exhausted and can no longer take another step. Poor souls! I’ll bear in mind not to make them shop two days before Christmas next time. They’ve just rested for a couple of hours and insisted to start wrapping the gifts already. I don’t know a thing about gift wrapping. If Id be doing it, it would look like candy for sure. I’d be placing the gift in the middle of the wrapper and twist both ends and put loads of scotch tape and voila! My masterpiece!
I’m so glad that my ever dependable sister in law was there to do all the wrapping. She’s the most creative and artistic person that I’ve ever known. She’s got a knack for turning trash into beautiful things. She knows how to make paper lanterns, snow flakes and beautiful poinsettias using different colors of crepe papers. I really admire her for that. How I wish I have even just a quarter of her artistic ability. But I guess you really can’t have it all, huh?
