Indulging in my Own Pleasures

We are still continuing to furnish, and fix things in our house. We haven’t mounted anything yet on the walls, and some stuff are still remained unopened in its boxes. Well, I enjoy decorating our new place but since we know that it’s not our permanent home, I should save the best for last - our OWN home. I dreamt of having one with vinyl siding; plus a top deck where social parties can be held on; a huge garage; and one with basement, too. That’s just too good to be true. We’ll see soon if I’d be able to achieve this dream.

We are officially moving in to our new apartment. The walls are painted with pastel colors - purple and yellow - so I still need to decorate the living room for sure. I have to play it up and accentuate it with some girly stuff. The first thing I’d do is to put window blinds on all the windows instead of curtains so it will be easier to clean. And since we got rid some of our things, my sister and I need to replace it with new one. Whoa, I’m sure it’s gonna be costly and we need time to budget those things. Oh, my head is aching just by thinking it.

I am very exhausted today because I woke up early and I did my own LAUNDRY for the first time in my working years. I did it using my bare hands - READ THIS: No washing machine! - and now my hands felt dry and rough. But it’s ok, I felt proud because I did it without the help of anyone. I’m all smiles!

I also helped my mushu clean his room. When I checked his trash, I saw papers written back in our college days, old piles of magazines, dust under his bed, several worn out clothes. lol. I guess he need a new exterior shutters as his looks worn out already. Well, here’s the fun part, we cooked lunch for ourselves and since we found out there’s no gas left, we just bought liempo. And through this cleaning and helping, I realize that it’s really hard to maintain a house without someone who’d assist you.

Moving out from your old hometown simply makes one feel very sad. That is actually how I felt right now because aside from the fact that you’ll be missing your old school gimmicks, moving in to a new place means making new adjustments. And I’m a bit tired of adapting to change. Things which happened these past few months seem to happen in a blink of an eye and I am about to get suffocated. I need some air to breathe, space and time to think, and of course, to adjust.

I was actually asked by mom and dad to look for a new place, and it’s not very easy. I have to consider a lot of things - budget, environment, proper air ventilation , indoor lighting, and best of all, the 24/7 water and electricity. I can’t say no to them because I just can’t! Wish me luck in my life. I need it badly.. asap.

As early as now, I am thinking of what to give my mushu for our anniversary. Whenever I visit the mall, I never forget to drop by a shop (which are full of cute stuffs!) and check out the nice things there. Well, so far I am liking this unique picture frames in Dimensione. It has small magnets on it and you will simply slide the cover and place your picture. I am planning to edit first our picture together and print it. I hope he’ll like it. But the picture frame would be one of my presents for him. I’m still on the lookout for other stuffs.

Colds.. I hate getting colds but now I have it because the weather is bad. VERY BAD. The cold air every night plus my staying up late for a couple of days now resulted to weakening my immune system. And now I am certified weak. Even the Vitamin C doesn’t work for me now. And I hate this because I have a running nose, I sounded like a ngongo when I speak, I cough in my sleep, and last night I had a sinat (slight fever). Boohoo. Getting sick since the previous week? WTF! I need to get my act together and love my body. I should also learn how to say NO!
But last night mushu and me went to The Fort to have dinner in a cozy restaurant. And afterwards, some friends came over and hanged out with us. It was a super fun night. What more can I say?

My friend and I visited April the other night in the hospital where she works in. She was on duty then till 6 in the morning so we brought some foods for her because it was past 3am when we went there. She was actually assign in the ER section and boy, it frightens me whenever there is an incoming patient. Broken bones that needs posture corrector in the future, almost dying patients, and the likes are some incidents you would see whenever the ambulance come rushing in. She also reminded me of the Grey’s Anatomy series since she’s on her way to become a surgeon. Interns.. then residents.. and there would be McSteamy and of course, McDreamy. But anyway, there was actually no McSteamy and McDreamy nor the ‘Nazi’ but I saw a doctor who’s like Dr. Shepherd-Montgomery.

I am 100% sure that everyone has dreamt of having their own dream house. And yes, I am guilty of that. I’ve started dreaming of it when I first played my doll house. I even remember making a sketch of the floor plan of my dream house. Haha. And as I grew older, this dream has remained with me and some decorations and furnitures has improved in my mind, too. And now that I’m working and earning for myself, this dream is still very clear to me and I want to make it real! I would browse in my free time for a good looking house and furnitures like the Coaster furniture, shades of the walls, and a whole lot more. And it will be a sense of fulfillment once I made it for real - my dream house.
