Thanksgiving is a
time of gratitude to God,
our Creator and Provider,
whose guidance and care
go before us…
and whose love
is with us forever.

Thanksgiving is a time
to reflect on the changes,
So remember that we, too,
grow and change
from one season of life to another.

Thanksgiving is a time
of changing seasons,
when leaves turn golden
in Autumn’s wake
and apples are crisp
in the first chill breezes of fall.

Let us remember the true meaning
of Thanksgiving.
As we see the beauty
of Autumn, let us acknowledge
the many blessings
which are ours…
let us think of our families
and friends..
and let us give thanks in our hearts.

Mailbox in Il Mare.

Have you watched any movie that almost revolved around a mailbox? Well, I do know two movies - Lake House (which starred Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves once again) and Il Mare (the original version of Lake House which is actually a Korean film starring Jeon ji-Hyun). They have the same plot so let me say something about the Hollywood movie. Sandra lived in the lake house before Keanu has decided to move in and stay there. They have then started to exchange love letters through the mailbox in the lake house. When they discover that they’re actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it’s too late.

Although the movie has many flaws, you can forgive it if you’re a romance-seeker. One of the things that fascinated me in this movie (and in Il Mare, too) is the mailbox. In Il Mare, the mailbox looks old-fashioned and I adore it. There are thousand style of mailboxes out there and if only I could own one just like what I see on movies, then I’d really buy one for myself. Sadly, I can’t have one because I live in an apartment.
