For all of us…

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

We may not be mothers yet but in some way, we have been mothers to someone in our lives…
You might be a man but have been both a father and mother to your kids…
Moms, your children might be grown-ups now but rest assured that you are still their mom and they need you no matter what they say…
You may never know this, my dear mommy-blogger friends, but you’ve been a mom to me one way or another…

Tomorrow is a day for all of us.

Penchant for sob stories

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

I don’t know if this only applies to Filipinos as I have seen some in the foreign shows I’ve watched as well… I notice that people tend to create sob stories when they join competitions. I was able to watch this Philippine Dream Academy (PDA) primer at ABS CBN 2 a week ago and I was amazed at how each one of the contestants have a sob story to tell. Of course, it could be they are telling the truth. But I don’t know, you can just feel them exaggerating their stories a bit. They make it seem like they are to be pitied by everyone.

Why can’t we just hold a contest where the winner will win base on his/her merits as a contestant and not because people pitied him/her enough to vote for him/her?

There is nothing wrong with a person, without a sob story, joining a contest and eventually winning. Yes, the stories add drama to the contest, but don’t you think this has become a trend already?

*A sob story is something about a person, usually a contestant, that will elicit pity from viewers or audiences.

Hazel’s 3rd birthday party

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

It would be Hazel’s 3rd birthday party this coming October. Oh yes, it is months away but this early, we are already preparing for it. We are already scouting for birthday party supplies for the theme that we are thinking of. We are actually thinking of a Dora the Explorer theme. She adores Dora so much! She even sings with her when she watches her DVDs here at home.

Hazel is actually not a member of the family. She is the two-year-old child of a distant relative of ours. When my mom died two years ago, she was newly born. To alleviate our loneliness, my dad would get her from her mom and we would play with the infant Hazel. She smiled a lot, still does, and that captured our lonely hearts. She practically grew up here with us. And do you know that she sleeps beside my dad or sometimes beside me and my sister? She is the love of our lives.

So for her coming 3rd birthday, we would like a grand birthday for her. We are already thinking of birthday party favors and other things that we would need. We want toys or stuff that the little kids will be thrilled to have. We want to be able to see the joy in the kids’ eyes once they open their loot bag.

Browsing the net, I found PlumDrama.com, a site where you can get party supplies. Go to the site and find affordable party supplies that you need.

Staying in top shape

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

I am struggling with my weight. I have posted several updates about it and to be quite honest about it, I am not happy with the way I am right now. I can feel myself getting tired so easily. I eat a lot, especially when I lack sleep. I drink less water and more soda. I am not a chocolate addict but I eat ice cream a lot. So tell me, how can I stay in top shape when I eat all the wrong food and do all the wrong stuff eh? Even a personal trainer Houston would give up on me. Or I guess not.

In AmazonFitness.us, their main goal is to make you fit and healthy. Being sexy is far from their minds. FIT is the word you will surely hear from a personal trainer Houston. Their questions once you consult with a female trainer are the following:

Do you want to look better?
Feel better?
Get healthier?
Improve your quality of life?

My answer is yes to all four questions. I would love to get a female personal trainer Houston help me with my weight loss struggle. Maybe when I have someone guide it, it would become easier for me to discipline myself.

Check out AmazonFitness.us and start living the healthy and fit life.

On obesity

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

I have heard so much about the obesity weight loss surgery. A local celebrity have undergone the procedure and it was a huge success. The once overly obese lady is now a fit woman, ready to conquer the world. She even got pregnant a year and a half after the surgery. Being fit made it easy for her to conceive. She is actually an inspiration to many obese people out there. There is hope after all.

But you know, not everyone is a good candidate for an obesity weight loss surgery or more popularly known as lap band surgery. Some overweight persons attempting to undergo the procedure are not perfect candidates for this type of surgery. The perfect candidate must meet a certain number of criteria that experts have set. Some are the following:

A severely overweight person.
A person overweight for more than 5 years already.
All serious attempts to lose weight have had only short-term success.
No any other disease that may have caused your obesity.

And there are other criteria as well. So if you are really thinking of undergoing an obesity weight loss surgery, better consult the experts first. Go to Health.UCSD.edu for more information on this weight loss procedure.

Online party

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Fe is a friend of mine. For some reason, she just disappeared for a number of months. She did not make contact with any one of us. Before she disappeared, she was quite depressed with how things are going in her life. There had been so many setbacks that she encountered along the way and she just had enough of it. There are so many factors that she considered and was actually convinced by Online casino, of all things. It played a big part in her new life. That’s what she told me when she resurfaced a couple of weeks ago. She had enough of her work, her boss, her co-workers, the stress. She had enough of her boyfriend, their relationship. And even her demanding family. So what she did was, upon seeing her more than enough savings, she left some with her mom and she packed her bags. She went to a popular beach resort here in the country and worked there as a receptionist. Take note, she was a human resources manager when she quit her job. But since she wants a less stressful work and a vacation as well, she thought of applying at the beach resort and was hired.

She worked during the day and partied at night. She spent her weekends learning fire dancing, imagine that! And you know what? She spends her Saturday nights playing Online Casino and lives the stress-free life.

If you want to go on an online party, then Da.PartyCasino.com is the place to be. Go check it out now and start playing online casino games.
