June 1st, 2008Welcome me back

I am so happy that finally I can go back to the office. Even though that it will only be three weeks then I will be on leave again, I would really like to still see my office mates . Staying inside the house and much more being inside the bedroom for the so called “bed rest” as instructed by my OB was not that resting after all. I could not even stay long at my lap top. Yes, that was also prohibited.

But, I can do everything and anything for my precious child. In a month’s time, I will be able to see her for the first time.

April 3rd, 2008Hot seating?

We are to transfer to another floor and we were told that we will not have our permanent posts. Hot seating, it is but eventually we will be given one. I wonder why simple things like that can’t just be decided upon right away. After all, I think we have enough posts to accommodate all of us.

April 3rd, 2008Read me my P.A.

What is my grade? Can you just tell me how high or low it is? Sometimes when our performance appraisal (P.A.) time is around the corner, the rank and file employees cannot help it but be anxious on what grade they will get. I am speaking for the group that I belong to at least. I can say that our department has the hardest metrics that is why our P.A. score is relatively lower compare to others. Yes, it is wrong to compare. It will only make us feel bad knowing how hard we work for our job. I thank God that I was able to sail through and even get a higher rate than I expected.

April 3rd, 2008The checker

One thing we appreciate about this friend of ours in the office is that she always proactively checks who is present or not in a given day. There was one time that one of us thought that it was his rest day. Good thing, this friend of ours called him and asked him if he were sick being absent. Whoa! Though, he was more than an hour late, it saved him from AWOL.

April 3rd, 2008Ready to go

Ho-hum! Time to wake up? It is my earliest schedule since I requested for a late shift. I will be only going to a training though. I hope I will not fall asleep. I wonder if I could contain myself checking my post and pending service requests to attend to. I must admit, I was able to rest yesterday as I was down with sore throat and felt feverish. I am fine now and ready to go!

March 24th, 2008On Looking Vibrant

Our company recently held its national conference and had a gala night where the gents and the ladies were of course required to be in their evening gowns and suits. They floated the path where everybody could view their pictures and there goes some fashion police and critics who could not help but comment on the make- ups, gowns and shoes the participants wore that night. Some looked fab but many were not able to get away with it. To think that others had spent much or spent hours to look for the perfect evening dress.

Does fashion need to be expensive?
What is the secret to always look vibrant?

Here are Some Tips:

• Go shopping with an honest friend! Nothing is more valuable in your quest for a fashionable wardrobe than someone who will tell you when you look stupid.

• Try places like bargain stores and emporiums for jewelry, they have great stuff for great prices!

• Ask friends for style advice and for their style perspective. Talking to friends can sometimes lead to an idea for a fabulous outfit! It also keeps you from getting stuck in a fashion rut.

• Make-up is the thing that pulls it all together. Don’t look fake, just polished. You can make a huge stride towards being more pulled-together by just applying foundation, blush (or bronzer) and lip gloss.

• Be you! If you like something but someone else doesn’t, don’t fret. They have no right to say what you can and can’t like. Remember your honest friend, though. There’s a difference between something that fits you horribly and something that’s just a difference in style.

And one last note, I think that keeping it simple is still most beautiful.

One of our office mates had transferred to IT department. My brave friend asked him if he graduated from a technical school. Affirmative. He came from one of the best tech schools that is why he was considered for the position. That kept us thinking. Information technology is really in demand. I, myself would like to have an IT training. After all, we have to cope up with the high tech world.

February 24th, 2008I Accept

When you are being challenged, there are two reactions. You accept it or declare defeat right away. What would you choose? As for me, I accept it. I can do it but not alone, of course! As they say, no man is an island. I thank God for the good support system that I have from family and friends and even from my new boss (I hope !).

I have made peace with my current situation, Howling. I know that things happen for a reason and maybe, this is a blessing in disguise, I just don’t look at it this way. Maybe, God is telling me something and as you’ve said kuya, I’m not listening to Him. I am straining to listen to what I wanted to hear, stubborn girl that I am. Not anymore, though

Now, I try to inject something positive in everything that I do. I try my best to reject all the negative thoughts that pop inside my head. Course, there are times that I’d succumb to temptation again but I know He’ll keep me in line He commissions a lot of reinforcements naman in the form of friends, offline and online (di ba sis and ate ghee ^_^).

My heart is full of happiness right now because I felt His love this morning. Nagpapansin, mam, effective naman! Hahaha!

I SO LOVE LIFE!!!

It took me a loooong time to accept everything. It’s hard. There’s a lot of resistance from within. I kept on pretending that I can survive that way but boy was I wrong! Denial was the name of the game. Slowly, after that enlightening talk that made me realize the lies I’ve been living in, life’s going back to the way it used to be… Before all the denials.

I can proudly say that I’m giving my 99% of myself now. There are lapses, yes, but hey, I wouldn’t be human without it!

***

Everything in God’s time.

***

Life is never about how bravely you struggle.
Oftentimes, it can be about how willingly you SURRENDER.
Allow God to embrace you just as you are,
and let His love heal you and make you the beautiful,
wonderful, happy person that He made you to be.
God bless everyone!

HAPPY THURSDAY! ^_^
