Quick update…

Today is my mom’s 3rd death anniversary. We are all going to visit her grave later. I will be out the whole day and might just be online in the evening.

Anyway, this is just to tell all those who have tagged me and awarded me with something that I will be posting all of it on Tuesday morning.

Thank you for visiting as always :)

Have a great week everyone!

WAH Moments: Waking up is hard to do :(

When I still have my day job working for a call center company, waking up in the morning was the hardest part. Even if I go to sleep earlier than usual (usual for me back then was midnight), I still find it hard to wake up in the morning. Since I had a flexible schedule then, I would wake up around 6:30am, prepare for less than an hour and would begin traveling to Makati City before 8am to get to the office before 10am. I didn’t use the metro rail (MRT) so I had to give my traveling time more allowance for possible traffic jam.

Back then, I always find myself dreading the morning when I had to wake up to go to the office. I am basically a night person. I thrive at night. Working at home now, I can already wake up even if I only had 2 hours of sleep. Maybe because I know I can take a siesta in the afternoon hehe

So how about you? Are you also having a hard time waking up in the morning to go to the office like me before?

Happy Friday and have a good weekend everyone!

Tweaking themes

When I am distracted and I don’t feel like writing entries, I turn to tweaking themes. I love doing this so much! I love changing codes, adding a header to an otherwise no images theme, creating ad spots and the like.

My old Splotches blog is now up and running once again. With a new theme and the EC widget back once more. Anyway, the theme looked like this before I tweaked it:

When I tweaked it, the theme now looks like this:

After completing the little tweaks (including those for the images, featured post, etc), I am now back in my “writing mode”. Doing little changes to my blogs’ themes really gets me back on track. Please go and visit Splotches. See you!

WAH Moments: TGIF!

Thank God, it’s Friday!

When I was still a corporate rat, I looked forward to Fridays. It was my salvation day. The day when I could feel myself buoyed up by the realization that the work week was ending in a few hours. Only month-end reports could take that feeling away. I was lucky enough to find Monday-to-Friday jobs, with a flexible time schedule. On Fridays, I normally go to work earlier than usual so that I could also go home early.

Working at home now, Friday is just an ordinary day for me. I still look forward to Fridays because it is the start of the weekend for me. Weekends would mean the whole family is in. And that is what I look forward to more than anything. I also look forward to some relaxation on Fridays. Not too much pressure to take opps hehe

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend!

WAH Moments: Monday morning rush

When I was still working for a corporation more than a year ago, Monday morning was the worst period of the whole week for me. I would get up around 5am so that I could get a head start and begin a pep talk to myself that the week would be a good one for a change. You could just tell how I dread Monday mornings. And how I hated it and rushing to work!

Now that I work at home already, Monday mornings are something I look forward to. I normally start the day around 7 or 8am with a cup of coffee and then I would proceed with checking my emails and pending tasks. No more bad Monday morning rush for me. The rush I feel now is for the urge to go to work immediately. No more dreadful feeling on a Monday morning just because I hated my work.

Working at home has some benefits and this is one of those.

Happy Monday and have a great week everyone!

Note: Work-at-home (WAH) Moments will be posted twice a week starting today. It will be on a Monday and Friday.

Scrollable Blogroll

How to add a scrollable blogroll to your sidebar

I know most of you have a long blogroll. It sometimes eats up one whole sidebar already. So to make it short, just add this code:

<div style=”border:1px solid #7f7f7f; overflow: auto; width: 170px; height: 250px;”>
<ul>
<center>
Blogroll Code
</center>
</ul>
</div>

You can delete the <center> </center> tags if you don’t want the list centered. You can also change the width and the height to suit your sidebar. And you can change the border as well.

That’s it!

A clearer picture

The thinking cap is still on and slowly, I am getting a clearer picture of the future of this blog. It’s really hard to come up with the exact plan because it keeps changing. I have some concrete ideas already, but it still some polishing. Hmm…

Several blogs are the inspiration for this change. I will mention them in time. For now, I will have to make sure that the changes will be cohesive, otherwise it will all make this blog a big mess.

Can you understand what I just wrote? *lol

Tatang Akismet

It amazes me really how many spam comments I get in a day. I check my spam folder from time to time because there are comments from bloggers that get included there. Bluepanjeet is a suki hehe… So I notice right off that there are always hundreds of spam comments in a day for me.

I have written this already in my other blog but then again, I haven’t really gotten a good answer. Are these spammers earning money from the spam comments? I think they do. But how much? Because if you notice these spammers, they keep on coming back to your site. Again and again. That requires time. I wonder how much are these spammers earning per spam comment. Hmm…
