Who did you vote for?

Did you vote for Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Jejomar “Jojo” Binay (NoyBi)? Or did you go for the Aquino and Manuel “Mar” Roxas II tandem (NoyMar)?

One thing is for sure, Noynoy has won the battle for the presidency. I keep telling my friends that Noynoy might not be their bet but now that he’s the incoming president of the country, let us support him in any way we can to really bring about the much needed change in the country. We need it.

Domain renewal

I made a major boo-boo last May 10… I forgot to renew this domain! I didn’t forget to post a blogoversary post but I forgot to renew my domain. Imagine that! When I opened this blog an hour ago, I saw a message on my admin page that I could not log in because my domain was suspended. I was surprised to see it and when I logged on to my Bluehost cpanel, I checked the domain manager and found that the domain was 4 days past the expiry date. Boohoo!

So I renewed my domain about an hour ago and I was charged $0.99 per day past the expiry. After paying, I was able to log in to this blog’s admin page again.

Whew!

Happy 3rd Blogoversary!!!

Happy Blogoversary

Blogging changed my life. I discovered it back in 2004 when I was looking for an online platform I could use as a journal. I started with Bravejournal. It was my first official blog. Before that, I used those other online diaries no longer active at the present. With my Bravejournal blog, I was able to write down snippets of thoughts from my chaotic mind. It became a therapy for me. It was a tough time for me back then and I didn’t want to burden the people around me with so much ranting. Blogging became an outlet for me to rant and rave about so many things in my life.

I wasn’t looking for friends that time. All I wanted was to write down all my conflicting thoughts and emotions. But the occasional comments gave me a high that I started waiting for it more and more. I met a good friend through the comments section and she’s the one who gave me the idea to try out Blogger.com. And so I started my Blogspot.com blog and made friends. Later on, I learned how to monetize my blog entries through the very same friend who directed me to Blogger. She told me that it’s time for me to get my very own DOT COM.

Thus, this blog was born.

It was May 9, 2007 when I registered this domain but the blog was up the very next day, May 10, 2007.

It has been three fruitful years since then. This blog gave me so much! I was able to work at home and spend time with my family. I was able to meet people who have become inspirations and friends even outside of the blogging world. For a meager domain registration fee, I was able to get back a hundredfold of blessings year after year.

Happy 3rd blogoversary to Sasha-Says.com! Here’s to more years of blogging!

Vote wisely!

The much-anticipated 2010 Philippine National Elections will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010. Filipinos, are you ready to vote?

Who are you voting for? People of the Philippines, you still have today and tomorrow to think about who you want to lead this nation. Do you want another Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo sitting in the highest seat of the country? Or like me you want some change? Think about it. Make a wise decision on May 10. Make sure you are voting for the person whom you think will lead us Filipinos to a brighter future.

We’ve had enough of GMA’s regime. Let us usher in a new era of Philippine government. One that is clean and corruption-free if possible. Remember people that it’s all in our hands now. We are voting for the next president of the country who will lead us for 6 years.

Please, please vote wisely, Filipinos all over the world. We need change! Go out and vote on May 10!

Meralco electric bill April 2010

The most awaited electric bill for the month of April 2010 arrived yesterday*. And unlike other people’s rants that I read where their bills doubled, ours was just increased by a thousand pesos. Of course, it’s still too high if you think about it. Meralco is telling everyone that the increase was brought on by the El Niño phenomenon and the numerous breakdowns of the electric plants. You know, they are charging us for the repairs and maintenance and other miscellaneous items that I am sure go directly to the officials’ pockets…

I have a beef against that reason given to us by our electric provider. See, they knew beforehand that an electric crisis brought about by El Niño would happen. Meralco knew that every summer they experience a surge in the use of electricity. Why can’t they be ready beforehand? Why can’t they prepare the power plants so there will be lesser break downs? Always the unprepared…

Anyway, how’s your electric bill? Did it cause you to faint when you first saw it?

*This was supposed to be posted last April 29, 2010 but due to schedule mixes, it was only posted now. Sorry.
