Someone won the 6/55 draw already!

Somebody already won the most coveted prize bag this side of the planet… the 741M pesos Grand Lotto 6/55 draw! According to ABS-CBNNews.com, a lone bettor won last night, getting the winning numbers 11-16-42-47-31-37.

741 million pesos! Can you just imagine how much money is that? Can you even imagine how you’re going to count that much money if you have it in cash?!?

If I was the one who won that much money, I already know what to do with it. 70% will be divided among my dad, my siblings and I. 10% will go to a common fund for traveling. The rest will be divided among relatives, really good friends, and charity, the cancer institute in particular. It would have benefited a lot of people but it’s not really meant to be mine. I do hope the person who got the prize is someone worthy and will use the money for good.

I also hope that it’s not the president who won. Imagine this, just when he took over the PCSO that’s when someone won the prize money. Hmm… just thinking out loud, okay? 😉

What will you do if you won that much money, huh?

Command responsibility

I wonder if the Department of Tourism secretary understands this concept. Command responsibility. His undersecretary resigned because of the Tourism slogan brouhaha. Isn’t the right thing to do would be for him to resign as well? He is the boss. How come he didn’t know that his undersecretary went overbudget with the slogan program? How come he isn’t as ashamed as his undersecretary for the mediocre slogan his department came up with? Copied from a Polish logo. The slogan sounds like a local soap title, even a morning news program.

In my opinion, the DOT secretary Mr. Lim should resign as well. Don’t act as if you don’t know anything. Maybe, you really don’t know anything! Delicadeza naman dyan!

Tourism slogan: Pilipinas Kay Ganda

Pilipinas Kay Ganda

Filipinos everywhere: may dating ba sa inyo ang bagong slogan ng Department of Tourism? Pilipinas Kay Ganda. At first glance, foreigners won’t even know what it means!

I wonder if tourists will be ‘lured’ to the country by this slogan. It’s just so blah! I remember a period about a month or so ago in TLC (cable tv) when Malaysia had a promotional run. Their slogan? Malaysia Truly Asia. Now that’s a catchy slogan!

I hope the reactions of Filipinos will be taken into consideration by the Tourism board. Think of another slogan asap! One that is catchy and will truly say something good about the country in just one phrase.
