A blogger-friend of mine suggested that I find a niche for this blog. In the beginning, it was like a thorn on my side. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I wanted this blog to be so much more so I want to please the handful of readers I have. But since I had so many things I wanted to post here, I would publish one generic entry after another. I mostly focused on personal stuff thus this blog became a general one.

Another blogger-friend echoed the sentiment of my old friend who suggested about the niche. She said that I would get more out of this blog if I find my niche. I actually wanted this blog to focus on my online work as well as current events. That’s what I did for a while. But then again I would find myself posting about positive reinforcements, little inspirations not just for myself but for everyone reading this blog.

It will most likely stay this way for me. A generic blog which has a sprinkle of current events, national and international issues, reviews, and some stuff about my online work. That’s it!

Wow, it’s been more than half a decade now that this blog is in existence. May 10, 2007 was the day I bought this domain for this blog. It was supposed to be sashasays.com but someone managed to grab it before I did. Another blogger suggested I put a dash between sasha and says. So it became Sasha-Says.com!

Six years. This is the very first domain I owned. This is the very first blog I hosted in the WordPress platform. And this is the very first domain I hosted in my own web hosting account! So many things have happened between then and now and this blog has withstood the test of time. It has given me so much more than what I expected from it, and is still continuing to give me so much more.

I haven’t had a giveaway hosted on this blog and for its blog anniversary. I wish I had one prepared but I am just really busy with so many things right now I was not able to prepare anything. But I promise to do something for my 7th blogoversary. I have more than a year to prepare for it so I will make sure it will be something grand.

I am praying for more years of blogging especially on this blog of mine.
