this would be my last post for this year kaya itodo na ang chikas ahihi! my christmas celebration started with a small dinner with my classmates in german language course. we had a dinner in our classroom with our teacher. we brought our own food specialties since we came from different countries. most of my classmates are turkish the others are from russia, poland, syria, morroco, italy & thailand. i brought maja blanca the easiest one to prepare for dessert and our teacher brought baked macaroni. as we were eating we had our lessons too as our teacher discuss the story of a germanic fairy tale that is hansel & gretel. the story is related with her gift to us the small gingerbread house which she personally made for us. in return we also gave her a perfume as our gift to her from our 1 euro contribution.

last saturday, we visited a christmas market in dortmund where the tallest christmas tree in the world. formed by stacking hundreds of trees into the shape of a pyramid in 45m high and a base of 14 x 14 meters and a net weight of 30 tons . the christmas tree consists of 1,700 pine trees (firs) and carries 13,000 small lamps.its sad that we didnt made up to stay there till night. we didnt saw how it was lighted but here is a view during night time. the picture is from the city’s website.

on christmas eve i prepared a dinner for us two since they dont have noche buena here. i tried also to call back home to greet them in time of their noche buena. before we had our dinner we snatched a time to distribute some gifts to friends and relatives. after we ate our dinner we opened our gifts for each other.. hubhub gave what i constantly view from the window shop. a heart pendant and more than i expected our names were engraved at the back of it. i wont reveal what i gave him hahaha… hmp! wala kasi akong maisip since fav niyang panoorin ang smallville, i gave him 2 boxershorts a black one with printed logo superman and the other is red with written superman at the waist gurter. heheh he like it very much! because he wear it na kaagad kasi bagong laba pa.

on christmas day we had lunch at my sister inlaw’s house. i wished of eating lechon and then i received a marzipan shaped pig. waaaah… are they teasing me? we ended the day by going to the church to attend mass. they celebrate christmas here in 2 days. so the next day they called it 2nd christmas day. we were again invited for a lunch at my inlaws. hubhub and i went home for coffee time so i can serve my no bake cake heheh…

maraming salamat sa lahat ng gifts, greetings, emails, ecards, greeting cards at sa mga food. its fast approching to fold the old calender, so paano see you next year for more chikas!
