The Train in the Kitchen

have you heard this news? lol! is a funny one from humor.beecy.net
A mother was working in the kitchen listening to her 5 year old son playing with his new electric train in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son saying, “All of you sons of bitches who want off, get the hell off now. because this is the last stop! And all of you sons of bitches who are getting on, get your asses on the train cause we’re going down the tracks.

The horrified mother went in and told her son, “We don’t use that kind of language in this house. Now, I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train.but I want you to use nice language!”

Two hours later, the son came out of the bedroom and resumed playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say. “All passengers, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us again soon!”

She heard her little darling continue. “For those of you just boarding, remember there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today.”

As the mother began to smile, the child added, “For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the bitch in the kitchen.”

God knows best

God knows best. I asked for health to do great things. He gave me illness, to do better things. I asked for riches to make me happy. He gave me poverty to make me wise. Iasked for power and the praise of men. He gave me weakness. To sense my need of Him. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. He gave me life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing I asked for everything I hopeed for. Inspite of myself my prayers were answered. I am among all men most richly blest. Yes, He always know what’s best.

There I Grow Again

Don’t Worry
If you have problems

Which is easy to say until you are in the midst of a really big one, I know.

But the only people I am aware of who don’t have troubles are gathered in little neighborhoods.

Most communities have at least one. We call them cemeteries.

If you’re breathing, you have difficulties.

It’s the way of life. And believe it or not, most of your problems may actually be good for you.

Let me explain.

Maybe you have seen the Great Barrier Reef, stretching some 1,800 miles from New Guinea to Australia.

Tour guides regularly take visitors to view the reef.

On one tour, the guide was asked an interesting question.

“I notice that the lagoon side of the reef looks pale and lifeless, while the ocean side is vibrant and colorful,” a traveler observed. “Why is this?”

The guide gave an interesting answer: “The coral around the lagoon side is in still water, with no challenge for its survival. It dies early.

The coral on the ocean side is constantly being tested by wind, waves, storms - surges of power.

It has to fight for survival every day of it’s life. As it is challenged and tested it changes and adapts.

It grows healthy. It grows strong. And it reproduces.”

Then he added this telling note: “That’s the way it is with every living organism.”

That is how it is with people.

Challenged and tested, we come alive. Like coral pounded by the sea, we grow.

Physical demands can cause us to grow stronger.

Mental and emotional stress can produce tough-mindedness and resiliency.

Spiritual testing can produce strength of character and faithfulness.

So, you have problems - no problem. Just tell yourself, “There I grow again.”

The Surrounding Master

A mother wishing to encourage her son?s progress at the piano, bought tickets to a Paderewski performance. When the evening arrived, they found their seats near the front of the concert hall and eyed the majestic Steinway waiting on stage. Soon the mother found a friend to talk to, and the boy slipped away.

At eight o?clock, the lights in the auditorium began to dim, the spotlights came on, and only then did they notice the boy, upon the bench, innocently picking out “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”.

His mother gasped, but before she could retrieve her son, the master appeared on the stage and quickly moved to the keyboard. He whispered to the boy. “Don?t quit. Keep playing.” Leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in the bass part. Soon his right arm reached around the other side and improvised a delightful obbligato.

Together, the old master and the young novice held the crowd mesmerized.

In our lives, unpolished though we may be, it is the Master who surrounds us and whispers in our ear time and time again, “Don?t quit. Keep playing.” And as we do, He augments and supplements, until a work of amazing beauty is created.

Keep Your Fork

What will you bring in your casket when you die? Let me share you this inspiring forwarded email i just receive while ago.
There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live.

So as as she was getting her things “in order,” she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.

She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.

The woman also requested to be buried with her favorite Bible.

Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.

“There’s one more thing,” she excitedly.

“What’s that?” came the pastor’s reply.

“This is very important,” the woman continued. “I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.”

The pastor stood looking at the woman, not knowing quite what to say. “That surprises you, doesn’t it?” the woman asked.

“Well, to be honest, I’m puzzled by the request,” said the pastor.

The woman explained.

“In all my years of attending church socials and potluck dinners I always remember that when the dishes were cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, ‘Keep your fork.’

It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming… like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful and of substance!

So I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder, ‘What’s with the fork?’

Then I want you to tell them: ‘Keep your fork… the best is yet to come.’

The pastor’s eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the woman goodbye.

He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the woman had a better grasp of heaven that he did. She knew that something better was coming.

At the funeral people were walking by the woman’s casket and they saw the pretty dress she was wearing and her favorite Bible and the fork placed in her right hand.

Over and over, the pastor heard the question, “What’s with the fork?” And over and over he smiled.

During his message, the pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the woman shortly before she died.

He also told them about the fork and what it symbolized to her.

The pastor told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.

He was right.

So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you oh so gently, that the best is yet to come.

A Shoe For All Occasions

Do you own one pair of shoe for all occasion? You dont believe it dont you? Here is an insipng story to encourage us.She liked to walk, so she walked. From years of walking, the bottoms of her feet had become hard and leathery. Even so, there were places she could not go-where the stones were too sharp or the sand too hot. She came across another who wore curious things on his feet that allowed traversing of the forbidden zones. So, she fashioned shoes of her own and ventured into unfamiliar territory.

The further she walked, the colder it got. It began to snow, which made travel exceedingly difficult. She had an idea. With larger extended versions of her shoes, she discovered that she could move across the surface without sinking. So she moved on. Eventually, she came to the edge of a large ocean, and try as she might, she could not get her shoes to prevent her from sinking. She could go no further. As she reflected on this circumstance, she realized that she no longer knew where she had come from of where she was going. So she returned to the snow and walked around because she liked to walk.

Others came and went, but none could walk on the snow as easily and as gracefully as she. She was content. Then one day, the snow began to melt and the grass began to grow. Soon there was a rich carpet of green. Her shoes hindered her movements, so she took them off. But the bottoms of her feet were now soft and sensitive, and the grass tickled her toes. She reached down to feel the grass with her hands. She lay down to smell the sweetness and she rolled on her back. For the first time, she looked up to see the sky and she wondered “had it been there all along?”.

A Teacher’s Place

Its sunday and im here seating reminiscing my past work being a teacher. I do miss the scene in the classrom but I realized I do not belong to that profession. Just got touch by this annecdote I read.

At the beginning of my work I saw myself standing on the bank of a river. All the people were swimming around in the river, and I’m shouting instructions at them.

Later on in my work when I began to learn more, I saw myself as wading out into the water a little bit and reaching out my hand to help.

Now, in my work, I realize that I am swimming around in the river just like everyone else.

About Friendship

Hows your friendship story? There are a lot of stories how do their frienship last for that long. Heres another one.A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.” They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.”
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?” The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.” The moral of the story learn to write your hurts in the sand, and to crave your benfits in the stone.

overcoming problems

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

How do you deal your problems? I belive burdens come to test us how strong we are. God dont give problems that He knows we cant solve it. As they say If theres a problem there always a solution. An anecdote that I read inspired me and help me how to deal with life poblems. It goes this way.Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God’s power to lift us above them.God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.
