2nd sunday of lent

last first sunday of the month, we had a very fine weather with 18 °C grad.

we decided to walk at the pilgrims’ way to the Marienfeld (Mary’s field) where we can take a look the Pope’s Hill, the site where the 2005 world youth day was held.

its been almost a year and half that we didnt yet visit the place . infact it was only 30 minutes drive from our home. we just watched the actual event in tv before then.

aerial view on the actual event from wyd2005 website

it was a long walk but you cant get tired as you were entertained by the sceneries along the way just like this lake.

at last were getting closer…

and closer…

and here we are on the way up!

finally! we reached the top.

in this same view where the pope stood and greeted a lot of youth from all over the world.

we went down the hill and headed back home with no sign of tiredness.

Happy women’s day!

my first digiscrap work

just want to share this email i received:

Women

Women have strengths that amaze men. They
carry children, they carry hardships, they carry
burdens but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream. They
sing when they want to cry. They cry when they
are happy and laugh when they are nervous. Women wait by the phone for a “safe at home
call” from a friend after a snowy/rainy or night drive home.
Women have special qualities about them. They
volunteer for good causes. They are pink ladies
in hospitals, they bring food to shut ins. They are
childcare workers, executives, attorneys, stay-
at-home moms, biker babes and your neighbors.
They wear suits, jeans, and they wear uniforms. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up
for injustice. They are in the front row at PTA
meetings They vote for the person that will do
the best job for family issues. They walk and talk
the extra mile to get their children in the right
schools and for getting their family the right
healthcare. They write to the editor, their
congressmen and to the “powers that be” for
things that make for a better life. They don’t take
“no” for an answer when they believe there is
a better solution. They stick a love note in their husband’s lunch
box. They do without new shoes so their children
can have them. They go to the doctor with a
frightened friend. They love unconditionally. Women are honest, loyal, and forgiving. They
are smart, knowing that knowledge is power.
But they still know how to use their softer side
to make a point. Women want to be the best for
their family, their friends, and themselves. They cry when their children excel and cheer
when their friends get awards. They are happy
when they hear about a birth or a new marriage.
Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have
sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they
are strong when they think there is no strength
left. A woman’s touch can cure any ailment. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a
broken heart. A woman can make a romantic
evening unforgettable. Women come in all sizes, in all colors and
shapes. They live in homes, apartments and
cabins. They drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you. The
heart of a woman is what makes the world spin! Women do more than just give birth. They bring
joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends. And all they want back is a hug, a smile and for
you to do the same to people you come in contact
with. Women have a lot to say and a lot to give. This is a note of appreciation to some wonderful women

In honor of our many hard working teachers, may this forwarded email inspire you more.

God Created The First Teacher

On the 6th day, God created men and women.
On the 7th day, he rested.
Not so much to recuperate, but rather
to prepare himself for the work he was
going to do on the next day.
For it was on that day-the 8th
day-that God created the FIRST TEACHER.
This TEACHER, though taken from among men and women,
had several significant modifications.
In general, God made the TEACHER more
durable than other men and women.

The TEACHER was made to arise at a very early
hour and to go to bed no earlier than 11:30 p.m.-
with no rest in between. The TEACHER had to be
able to withstand being locked up in an air-tight
classroom for six hours with thirty-five “monsters”
on a rainy Monday. And the TEACHER had to be fit
to correct 103 term papers over Christmas vacation.
Yes, God made the TEACHER tough…but gentle too.

The TEACHER was equipped with soft hands to wipe away
the tears of the neglected and lonely student…of those
of the sixteen year old girl who was not asked to the prom.
And into the TEACHER God poured a generous amount of patience.
Patience when a student asks to repeat the directions the
TEACHER has just repeated for someone else.
Patience when one-third of the class fails the test.
Patience when the text books haven’t arrived yet,
and the semester starts tomorrow.

And God gave the TEACHER a heart
slightly bigger than the average human heart.
For the TEACHER’s heart had to be big enough
to love the kid who screams, “I hate this
class-it’s boring!” and to love the kid who runs
out of the classroom at the end of the period without
so much as a “goodbye”, let alone a “thank you”.
And lastly, God gave the TEACHER an abundant supply of HOPE.
For God knew that the TEACHER would always be hoping.
Hoping that the kids would someday learn how to spell…
hoping not to have lunchroom duty… hoping that Friday would come… hoping for a free day…. hoping for deliverance.

When God finished creating the TEACHER, he stepped back and admired the work of his hands. And God saw that the TEACHER was good. Very Good! And God smiled, for when he looked at the TEACHER, he saw into the future.
He knew that the future is in the hands of the TEACHERS.
And because God loves Teachers so much, on the 9th day
God created “Typhoon Days.”
